i'm in Seattle every couple months and generally like it but the appeal is wearing off. The last time I was in for a day and ran into more jerks than i do in 10 years in my home town.
stayed at Bed and Breakfast advertising free parking. Told them I was showing up a little before midnight. They said they'd leave a key out along with a letter of instruction for parking, room number etc etc.
showed up, no where to park for blocks, no letter, no key. I message them no response, double park someone in the driveway, finally find a key and let myself into the building but it's midnight and there are 3 stories of rooms and no one awake. Wander around until i find an open room . Found a set of instructions for parking that say their 'free parking' is street parking, which is full for blocks , so i end up circling until I find parking 3 blocks away and finally get back to my room at 1:30am. Message them to tell them what happened and that i'm crashing in the room i found.
still no response in the morning, until i bump into the owner as i am heading out the door to leave.
No apology, no acknowledgment or anything. I finally say, "I was the one that was locked out last night."
"Oh, yeah. Well, i guess it's fine you stayed in that room." Tone of mild annoyance, as if this had caused him some inconvenience.
wtf?
In hindsight, I probably should have been comped the room.
But really all I was expecting was an apology of some sort.
Not that big of a deal but then had two more VERY similar encounters the next day.

I'm not sure total inches of rain is the best measure here. If it drizzles every day for six months, that may not be much total rain in inches, but it sucks. I live in one of the cities that has more rain than Seattle -- but we get rain in 1 or 2 inch downpours that aren't super frequent.
A better measure would be how many days per year have rain.
Please don't re-define what rain is .
Is it true that in Seattle you can go several weeks at a time without seeing the sun during the winter and spring months?
Good question, and one could certainly understand you might not know because our weather patterns don't make the national news so routinely. Hope you survived the last one, sunshine.

That's a silly comment - you see those kinds of people in every city & town across America! ?
Good: food, running and outdoor activities options nearby.
Bad: Jamin lives there.
Ugly: Hardloper

Lots of Libs and lots of Meth.
Lots of feminists, lesbians & girly acting men. The women act tougher than the men. Probably why Jamin is having such a hard time finding a date.
