I like this attempt:
Look at what Kejelcha did in Brussels. Mo would have been cooked.
Well, Mo wasn't a "sit n kicker" ( like say Ovett ) because he liked to lead well before the bell. Of course, Centro did that at the Olympics but that was because the pace was so slow.
Steve Cram, at his peak, had the perfect antidote for the "sit n kick" brigade and that was to run the finish out of them.
With Centro, he's not going to win if the pace is 3:40 or faster. There hasn't been anyone strong enough to drop Mo. Even with a rabbited race he would hang in there and win with a kick.

Although centro was one slippery devil at Rio
This is the only way out. 9 out of 10 times it wouldn't work, though, as Mo was just so far ahead of the field when he was on the track.
And that's exactly the reason why I hate this guy so much. He could have demolished the 10k WR, but he never even gave it a shot.

How to beat Mo Farah on the track:
Make a time machine and bring back prime time Daniel Komen or Haile Gebresslie.
How to beat Mo Farah on the roads:
Make sure Eliud Kipchoge shows up to the starting line.
Neither of them can outkick Mo. Make it a fast race? Mo will just play along, as shown in 2017 WC.
The only one that stands a chance is Bekele.

A prime Daniel Komen would have been horrible for Mo over 3k and 5k.
1) be in 12:37 or 26:18 shape
2) a)run 12:37 or 26:18 from the front
b) throw in surges throughout the race and hope for the best

That was for Mo. For Centro, you only have to be in 3:28 shape and do the same.

I like this. The existential sit-and-kick.
Alternatively, attack the supply chain.

You gotta b dumb af to believe that Kejelcha would have dropped Mo in Brussels lol

I wish Mo would have gone for the triple 1500/5k/10k in 2016. Maybe he can go 5k/10k/marathon triple
And a prime Bekele was.
Centro is a pretty much a textbook sit-n-kicker and is easily beatable with a hard fast pace from the gun. Farah could get it done any way he liked. The only times he lost were when he was not feeling 100% and still placed second in those races.
You must be in high school. It's so simple isn't it? 4:10 always beats 4:20 which always beats 4:30. Wrong. There is a huge disparity in talent at the high school level. So much so that usually for the best runners tactics aren't necessary. They can just run away from lesser runners.
Not so at the world class level. Everybody is talented. Everybody trains hard. Times don't really mean as much as competition because nobody gets paid for times, just places. In other words, 3:26 doesn't alway beat 3:28 who doesn't alway beat 3:30. These are the times, by the way, of Kiprop, Mahkloufi and Centro. Kiprop is the only 3:26 guy out there but we never see him try what you suggest unless it's a Monaco time trial. Why? Because he respects the competition. A slower guy like Centro can beat faster guys because he knows positioning counts for more than raw speed in a tactical race. If Centro runs a 50 second last lap from the lead, what are guys like Kiprop and Mahkloufi going to do from the back? Run 49? Kiprop tried that and died in the stretch.
Basically, what you are suggesting is a runner saying "F you, I'm better than you" to the best runners in the world. That is ludicrous. They are the best runners in the world. You can't run away from all of them. All you're going to do is be their pacemaker and ensure that you lose. Have some respect.

No it was just the fact that Mo had to run 26:49 a few days earlier to win 10,000m that left him vulnerable in the 5,000m.
Tell us when is your next 5k or 10K race. Team Ethiopia may send three men to elbow you and talk it up to each other and breathe down your back over the final 500m. You can then tell us how it had no affect on your performance.
Farrah was in position to win still.
Had he been able to win the 10,000 in 27:25, he would have won the 5000 easily.
Ethiopia wasn’t bowing him. They are too much pussies / nice guys for that.
