Cherono ran 2:01:10 pace for the last 11k and 2:00:20 pace for the last 3km. WOW
6:16 from 40 to finish. Only 7 seconds slower than Kipchoge in Berlin

As can that muppet Banana Bread ?
I actually think that Banana Bread hates Bekele so much deep down that he hypes him up badly every time Bekele toes the line.

So when Bekele is running on live TV Banana Bread is not posting? hmmm
BB was driving the motorcycle with Jos as the passenger.
Cherono sounds like a higher pitched T'challa... I'm expecting him to say, "Amsterdam... Forever!"

Must be traumatic for him that Rupp is a better runner right now.
He must be elated right now.
Look how many under 2:08! And 3 under 2:05, winner nearly hits 2:03.
Like I was telling those Mo Farah people after Chicago, you've got to be 2:03 to be world class. You have to go 2:04:06 to win even a B marathon that attracts fast people. American marathons don't cut it that way, never will. You know when a runner focuses on them, they'll never be top tier.

I'd maybe argue London was a world class field this year, and he did alright there. We don't know how he would have gone today but there's no question he's "world class".
Yeah, when I saw that this wasn't going to be sub-2:04, I almost went back to sleep; it's hard to get excited about another 2:04 these days, much less anything slower.
Has to be repeated that no breaks were missed in the men's race. Bravo ??

Mo clearly has 2:02-2:03 low in him. And those fast people in a B marathon almost never show up in an A marathon because the testing is better there.
Banana Bread goes home DEVASTATED!

This is because they decided to not show one second of the women's race until now.

According to the Brits, Farah is the second best in the world of that performance in Chicago and Eliud should be shaking in his vaporflys.
Beautiful broadcast on a beautiful city. Only missing the women race. Other broadcasters can watch and learn.
Very sad day for Bekele, not the best way to end a career.
Just like he had 12:40/26:30 in him on the track, right? What's with all the Farah fanboys constantly exaggerating his abilities?
That was a good watch, interestingly Bekele fell to bits when the pacer dropped out. Cherono smoked it home.
Somewhere on this planet Banana bread is contemplating using the hairdryer in the shower or the toaster in the bath. Don't do it man, there's more to life.
After he runs the first sub 2 hour marathon, Mo will return to the track to break the 10k record.

I hate Mo and hope before every race he goes home devasted, but it has to be said that he (of course) was capable to run faster on the track and that his 2:05 winning time in Chicago also indicates great marathon potential

Because of his double/double and the fact that he has almost been invincible since 2012.

Well yes, of course, it really should go without saying that he's shaking in his Vaporflys since he's literally balancing on springs...
But still - everyone's running sub 2:06 now, everyone's just getting better at Marathon running , so it's all great!!
