Perhaps Brazier is just as curious as I am to see what supplements Alberto has stashed in his garage.

Failed in Boston.
Failed in Chicago, and got totally destroyed by Mo, and didn't podium
If you want to count that cupcake prague marathon, then go right ahead.
LOL and i noticed you omitted Ryan Hall's 2:04 time, which is the fastest time ever run by an american runner.
You're just Rupp fan boy.
Also, he got OWNED by Yuki in Boston.

Hall - 3rd, 4th, 4th (2:04:58), 20th. Stagnated or got worse with every attempt. Literally never improved at all.

Lol sorry Ruppster but you’re trash unless you can beat the most consistent track runner in history.

Okay. Will do.

4th place finish tho.
Hall’s best finish in a major is 3rd. His Olympic resume is 10th-DNF.
Rupp won Chicago. In Rio (his second marathon), he got the bronze after a 5th place in the 10k.
First, because it may help you do better in rounds at the 8 in championships. Second, because you become a legend. Third, because you have a world of potential at the mile. Fourth, because no one is going to want to be close to you at the end of a mile race with your speed.

That’s the thing with brazier is that he doesn’t want to. He’d rather not do the work of a miler it seems.
Why run the mile when you’ve run 1:43 and have won NCAAs and USAs?

I've never seen anyone give a satisfactory answer as to why that would be true.

Isn't he the most speed-based guy they have though? Engels and Murphy clearly have shown more aerobic talent thus far. How will Brazier fair with 2 guys that can't get within 2-3 seconds of his 400m speed while he can't get within 7-8 seconds of their mile times.
Sometimes that's a good mix; hopefully, Engels and Murphy will get quicker and Brazier will get stronger.

Do you have a personal vendetta against Rupp and/or are you delusional?
Failed in Boston. - yes, Rupp dropped out, but so did half of the elite
Failed in Chicago, and got totally destroyed by Mo, and didn't podium - all 4 of the athletes who beat Rupp set PRs and 2 set national records, Rupp didn't run poor, a few athletes had a really good day. Regardless of the place 2:06:21 is an excellent time.
If you want to count that cupcake prague marathon - I have no idea what you mean by cupcake, Rupp won and ran fast
Ryan Hall's 2:04 time is the fastest time ever run by an american runner, but with an asterisk.

While hasay and rupp didn't have a good year this year, the track based athletes did great this year under AL.
While Kejelcha and Hassan had great years, Murphy was inconsistent as was Centro. Centro won London, but finished 10th in Rabat and 7th in Monaco. Murphy was 2nd in London in a season's best 1:43 but in his next race finished 10th in 1:47.

This is wrong.
Do you understand that Murphy had a serious injury last year, and Centro was injured and dealt with an illness??
They both won USTAF Outdoor Championships this year, and both reestablished themselves as medal contenders. Clearly a great year for them compared to last year, which was a terrible year for the both of them.
I guess you forgot about that.
Rupp went 2-6 out of his races for this year. He loss more than he won. Fail.
1. No marathon major wins - fail
2. He didn't defend his title, and he didn't even podium. - fail
3. In boston, he got beat by a japanese government worker, and dropped out of the race. Molly finished her race. Kirui did too, so I don't want hear it. - fail.
Funny, you guys stated that wins are all that matters, and rupp knows how to race. Now that he didn't get the big victories, you guys want to talk about his finishing times...lol. Please make up your minds on what type of fan boys you guys are going to be.
What does Galen need to do? Walk on water? Galen Rupp is the greatest US marathoner ever.

+1. Cut the shlt scorpion. The shtick is old. Galen did well this year just as he has the past few years. It's pretty cool that he's evolved from a "2:09 guy" to being able to have an average day and running 2:06. He's hitting it out of the park even on the days he's not hitting it out of the park.

No. He isn't. Khalid K is, and it is not even close.
2 wr
tons of marathon major wins ( 4x Chi, 1 x Lon )
first to run 2;05 and the first to do it twice
Beat Haile.
Galen may never see another major marathon win now that Mo is on the table, and he does not run well in paced races.
do you guys really have to quote the entire thread of your argument in every reply?

You cut the s h i t. He didn't do well. Period. You guys kill me. He showed lack of toughness in Boston and got out shined and outworked by Yuki, and Kirui killed him another marathon race, and almost did it again in Chicago. ....and Kirui finished boston.
Mo blasted him on his own soil, and he was the second fastest 10k/5k guy in the field. He went with the surges and raced stupidly. He was schooled. And he didn't DEFEND his title.
He is a marathoner, and it is all about the marathon majors. Got murked in both of them. He lost on the big stage
You guys refuse to be honest. It's disgusting.
Scorpion, you're delusional. I'm not always the biggest Rupp fan but to question his toughness is stupid. Galen got a bronze medal in Rio on his second attempt at the marathon distance AFTER running the 10000 final. There are only a few runners on the planet with the strength and mental fortitude to pull that off under those conditions.
There is a spectrum between failing and winning, you know? The goal is to win, but running 2:06 and not blowing up is not a failure. Your unbridled hate is clouding your judgement.
You were defending Murphy and Centro for having sub par seasons, yet attacking Rupp for having a pretty decent season overall with one bad race.
Murphy and Centro came off of injuries and illnesses, and WON THE USTAF CHAMPIONSHIPS AND REESTABLISHED THEMSELVES AS MEDAL CONTENDERS.
Rupp did not come off an injury or illness. So it is not the same thing.
ha ha. Now you guys are moving the goal post. Now it's not about the wins , but about finishing??
I'm done.
You guys discredit ryan halls 2:04 in boston, where he pushed the pace and was the pacer in that race, and was congratulated by kenyans. But you come to the defense of rupp's 2:06 where he got destroyed on his own soil and didn't defend his title....but he didn't blow up and he finished?
That's the new Rupp standard? finishing races and not blowing up?
Yeah, he did finish. But ran like a a dumb school boy, responding to kirui's silly surges, and he got dropped. His race tactics where s h i t, and he got master'd by Mo's run intelligence .....but, oh wait, he finished!
