Muktar Farah Mo’s father was a Somalia, his birthplace irrelevant.
Was Muktar an Englishman like Steve Cram, quite clearly, Mo would have the appearance of a typical half-caste.
As Mo obviously has no white blood in his veins, I think one could safely say he is pure African.
Laughingly, I heard a BBC commentator claim: “At last we have a British runner that can beat the Africans at distance running!”
Well that confirms it's just plain racism. Apparently you are not British unless you are white, all nationality is to be based on your parents colour. You did are a grade a a55hole.
The term “racism” was invented by communists, and is used to destroy cultures and defuse (and render impotent) those with differing points-of-view on “racial” issues.
The first blacks to enter the UK in any sizeable numbers was in 1948. They came from Jamaica on HMT Empire Windrush. Until that date, one could walk the streets of London for weeks without seeing a single black face, although one could come across the occasional Indian and Chinese. Although we got some good runners, like ducks to water, it wasn’t long before we realised we’d also imported the sort of problems you Americans have in such places as Detroit, Baltimore, St Louis and the like. In the long term though, (or maybe not so long) it doesn’t now really matter. The tribes that created the Western civilisation and prosperity we have enjoyed post WW2 are a dying breed. In not one European country is the (indigenous) birth-rate sufficient to even maintain their current numbers and will probably be as few around in 2100 as Ancient Greeks are today. I understand that is the case with American white folk as well and you’ll be in the minority in around the mid-century. Not a comfortable position to be in in majority ruling ‘democracy.’ That’s assuming you don’t have a civil war before then as you certainly seem very much a divided society right now.
