Speaking for myself, living in NYC would be right up there with being incarcerated, but with less personal space. Good for you though.

@wejo:
Casey Neistat is a prominent filmmaker, YouTuber and fairly committed runner. Usually runs about 40-50 mpw at about 7:30-8 pace. He’s done some promo work for Nike and other brands. He talks about running all the time. He gets it. If you have time, dig into his channel, I think you’d really enjoy. He’s not an out of touch genx’er that lives solely off social media. He has a wife, kids and is a well rounded good guy.
He’d be a great ambassador for Letsrun!!!

Funny details in the article like :
- I love racing with 52,000 people. I don’t like training with any more than one person. Ever.
- I have a line–line–hash tattoo with my marathon PRs on my left leg

Hello there wejo. If you could bring a poster from letsrun out for a day in New York what would your itinerary be, who would you take? Would it be me?
Also, what do you think Bekele's PB will be in the thon when he retires? What time do you expect in Amsterdam? What will his last race be? Where do you think he will he get the WR?
I don't know my LRC posters like I should. I know who Jamin is and have met him. What are your credentials as regular poster? Please submit a 3 sentence CV in this thread.
Bekele's PBs will be 2:03:03 but I hope I'm wrong. Would be great if he got the WR. If he did then the shoes clearly work and Kipchoge's run wasn't that amazing.
You came to my wedding and all you mention is Jamin? :) You've actually met a lot of LetsRun posters in real life because you've met many of the same ones I have, plus probably more. You just may not pay attention to who is who.
Hey sir, Riverside is relatively safer but please avoid Morningside in the dark. Anecdotal, but I know of several students who've gotten mugged there even around 9-10pm.
If you're in the Columbia neighborhood, indeed it's relatively safer than most parts (thank goodness). The 110W entry into Central is a little dicey in the early am, but the southern portion of Central is generally safe. With your status, you're probably less of a target though, especially with dogs.
Enjoy NYC and welcome :).
Besides walking your dogs and letting them piss in the park, what other cultural events do you plan to partake in?

Morningside is used for dog fights after dark most weekend nights. You will find their corpses littering the park in the early morning hours. There are muggings, as well, for those stupid enough to venture there after dusk. Anything above 116th street and East of Amsterdam is probably unsafe at certain hours. I know someone who had his knees bashed in by muggers at 6 pm on a weekday evening on 116th and Morningside.
Yes, welcome to jolly NYC!

You haven't enjoyed Manhattan until you have visited one of the many Prohibition speakeasies. The Office on the upper W side offers some amazing and unique cocktails.
Also, Edgar Allen Poe enthusiasts are well aware he lived in a farmhouse located near 84th and Broadway. He lamented the over development of Manhattan which was encroaching on his property. After the Raven was published, he and his wife moved to a farmhouse in the Bronx. You can visit his house which has been moved some distance from its original location.

Most uplifting thing I've seen in a while. Put a smile on my face. What's another good one?
this is probably his best one.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzE-IMaegzQHe made a career out of being a youtube star. Then he started a media company and sold it to CNN for $25 million. What CNN got before they shut the business down was ~20 youtube videos and a social media app that nobody uses. I'd say he made out pretty well in that deal. He's also been seen running races with the woman-punching, catfish guy Nev.
Someone must have convinced him that runners wear cut away underwear to the starts of races. Also it's fun to hear Nev chant "sub three" over and over and then run a 3:34.

I've never been so nervous in my life. I feel like this is the opportunity of my life. The creator of letsrun is literally asking me for my CV. Could I inherit letsrun or be made a co owner? Anyone want to help me with a cv? I feel like Bekele at the start line of a race before a WR. This is my big brake.

Brake a laig.
Casey Neistat shot a video once at the Salt Flats, and the salt on his sunglassed so inspired him that he spray-painted Ray Bans back in NYC, then scraped the white paint off the lenses sort of to mimic the coolness of his windblow-salted experience.
That makes about as much sense as Banana Bread.
