Alright, it looks like Stinson and some other *finally* dropped off into a saner second pack.
So he only ran the first 4-5 miles like an idiot this time.
If he comes through under 65, we should still look for a spectacular blow-up later.

Kirui and Kirui look like they are pushing the pacemakers to go faster.

Oh no, Telemundo is also branching off to "street coverage" !
Telemundo is doing every NBC English feed schtick a few minutes later in Spanish. Same producers.
Not every one... I have both feeds up, and the telemundo feed is staying with the lead pack pretty much.
Choge already 41" behind at 10k, not making the GOAT proud...
It's slowed down a bit 30:10 at 10k, on pace for a 2:07:04!
The real question is who wo DNF because they can't hack it with the leaders or the followers?!?!
30'10" at 10k = 2"07'18 - huh...

I'm glad he backed off. Better late than never. But cooking it above pace for even five miles will sit in your system. There is no way we recovers from that while still running at his marathon ability.
Ed Eyestone's magic bullet marathon training program: get off the dang couch and run!
I bet the guy in the red Nikes wins. ☺️
30:10 for lead pack, 30:30ish for new chase pack featuring the top 3 americans not named Rupp
CHOGE OFF THE BACK. he's 30:51 by himself at 10k. either had a potty break or is out of it
the 2:12 group is still on 2:12 pace. Yuki is there with Aaron Braun.
second 5k way too slow, pace is 2.07.18 now and 3 of the top 10 have dropped back replaced by bibs 11,14, and 25
Smoove is on pace for sub-2:30.
5K in 17:35 (5:40 pace)
8K in 28:13 (5:43 pace)
I hope Sara will run a huge PR in Frankfurt this month
I'm trying to figure out which broadcast is least annoying.
I think I"m going to listen to the local broadcast. It has Hutchings and maybe eyestone? Who is the 2nd guy? Plus Tollefson. International ad free feed on in the background.
The problem with NBC gold is the background soudn is lame. There is no excitement.

Then you missed the "What are you doing to cheer for your friends" guy. And the guy taking a photo.
The two streams are parallel.
Splits so far
14:52 - 2:05:15 pace
30:10- 2:07:04 pace

Yep, he's probably blown his race already.

And Telemnudo cuts to commercial (blacked out online). NBC English feed is doing a local reporter thing.
Is that Osako at the back of the pack with Yuki?
