Those G Kirui surges were very fast, but weird. Can't think sprinting like that helps the legs at 40k.
Learned from Yuki at the Boston Marathon.

G. Kirui has some weird arm carriage but it seems to work for him
Geoffrey missed his drink.
Cut the guy some slack, the guy is probably thinking half marathon pace ;)
Serious suggestion, letsrun buys the rights to the men’s elite field and you commentate. This coverage is just awful. Thoughts?

Please explain the "joke." I am really interested.
Mo has reached the leader board! Getting really exciting now!
Anyone not watching the Telemundo coverage that has been linked to 10+ times in this thread is really missing out.
Mo is slow to react to these moves, which is smart. None of Kirui's surges have lasted
suzuki is getting dropped at 25k, 12 left

At the moment, there are TEN guys on sub 2:07 pace. Could be a very fast top ten race.
Legese the Ethiopian shares his drink with Kirui who missed his. very cool.
Geoffrey Kirui misses his bottle at the 30k drinks station -- he may have even slowed down on purpose to see if someone else will share theirs? Legese gives him some of his.
Right now, it's GKirui, the Ethiopians Legese and Geremew, and Kenneth Kipkemoi of Kenya in the front group, they have about 20 meters to the chasers, led by Rupp.

Legese takes off, at last a fast guy makes a move !
Well Legese was reeled in pretty easily, maybe he just wanted to make sure he got his drink first ;-)

Good. This should put the AR well within Galen's reach.

Did they say on NBC Sports that Yuki was expected to go out with the 2:06 guys? That was never the case.
If they did, they aren't smart. He's never broken like 2:11 in a fall marathon.
Wasn't some other Japanese guy going for their record?

+1
With call ins from the letsrun community.
Manuela Schar all alone. Chicago feed almost missed the finish and the Olympic Channel feed did miss her finish (commercial).
