Anybody got mile splits?
They must've dropped a lot in the last 2 or 3 to get to 1:03.
You are welcome.
Mile 1: 4:46
Mile 2: 4:47 (9:33) I timed the first mile in 4:49 for the racers. Mayvbe 448. They are giving official splits, which I am posting. 4:47 was the second mile split.
Mile 3: 4:47 (14:20)
5K: 14:52 (19 men within 5 seconds of the lead) Stinson, Kibet, and Osman backing off leaders now. the What pace are they on?2:05:28 pace
Mile 4: 4:48 (19:08) Farah allowing a slight gap to form from leaders to him and a few other guys but it’s not that big. Now they’re back together, though Farah is toward the back of the pack.
Mile 5: 4:46 (23:54)
Mile 6: 5:03 (28:57) Slowest split of the race by far (due to headwind)
10K: 30:11 (15:09) Choge has fallen way off, he’s behind the second group in 30:51 running in no man’s land
Mile 7: 4:54 (33:51)
Mile 8: 4:43 (38:34)
Mile 9: 5:00 (43:34) Kirui sees a gap starting to form to the pacers so he moves up to close the gap and keep the pressure on.
15K: 45:00 (14:49)
Mile 10: 4:42 (48:16)
Mile 11: 4:42 (52:58) They’ve had the wind at their backs since from 7.5 to almost 13 miles
Mile 12: 4:47 (57:45)
20K: 59:48 (14:48)
Mile 13: 4:45 (1:02:30)
HALF: 1:03:02 Farah at the very back of lead pack. Rupp and Kiruis right at the front. Farah had allowed a gap of 20 meters to form, but he makes a move during mile 14 to bridge the gap and is back with the leaders by 14 miles.
65:12 for Stinson, who is running with Kibet, Osman, Kiname, and Sambu
Mile 14: 1:07:15 for pacers, 1:07:22 for main pack (4:52) They are letting the pacers get a bit of a gap.

I am thinking Kirui Is going to be the one to break up the pack, would watch for him to make a huge surge by 30 K.

It's more like the others slowed down, Pacers look confused as h*ll again, these guys are going to pull out in disgust any minute now ! Next time, they'll sign up to work for the GOAT !
Honestly. What a sh!te field, scared to run with the pace they asked for. (Ahem, Sir Mo.)
Mo is out there chilling. Not going with the surges. Just doing classic mo stuff.
Mo trying to look around and move back and forth like he's in control is embarrassing. His form gives away any facade of confidence he's trying to put up. Rupp and Kirui look excellent. Look for Mo to be gone after the 2nd big move.

Yuki has not been racing well, even his times before Boston were better than his buildup to this one. I wonder if all those miles and races are finally starting to show.

Starting a marathon at just 10 seconds/mile slower than 10k pace? HAHAHA. You dolt, that would be too fast for half marathon pace.
Think a bit.
(hint: No, Anna was never able to run faster than her 10k PB)
I of course didn't expect Gwen to do the same, but still someone with a PB 31:55 is able to run much faster than 2:31, so no, this isn't a good race by her.

Why do these pacers suck so badly?
In fairness, if they just out down 4:45 miles and came through the half 30-45 seconds ahead of the racers, everyone here would be complaining, too.
Pacers about 100 yards ahead now, WTF ?! Never seen that happen before. Not a good bet by the fast guys like Geremew or Legese...
Thanks. Yep, a good stretch of 4:40-low, to get back towards pace goal.

How on earth is that a good run for a 32min runner? You are a gutless swine if you think that's an acceptable conversion, it is absolute rubbish.
Dude, you are simply dumb. As someone said, delete your account. Running 2:31 pace early on is perfect.
You're just a hobby jogger. I've run sub 2:30, more than once. You simply don't get it and won't get it.
2:19 is a goal, she was never going to run anywhere near that pace today and stated as such. She may never, but it's a goal. Today is to get under 2:30 and not blow up.
Sit back and watch, stay off the message boards today and congrats on placing in your age group yesterday in you local 5k. Congrats.
Wait, so now you think she is going well because she is not faster than you? Hopefully when you say you've run sub 2.30 many times, you mean well under 2.30, or that y ou u are female? Cos that's an almighty pat on the back for a mediocrity!
First American not name Rupp went through the first half in 1:05:12.

Hahahahahahahaha yeah betting against Mo always pays off.
Watching the Telemundo feed. Looks like the pacers have dropped and the pack is really bunched. Abel Kirui seems to be yelling at others to do some of the work. Rupp and Farah going for the win rather than racing for national records at this point.
How do they ‘kick’?
They’re all still there. Approaching business end. Someone to make a move in a few.
Wow, is that Geremew who's been dropped ?!
