Adding to my previous post, I don't wear the hood up and just let it hang in the back.

I never wear a hoodie in training or while running. For me, this is very uncomfortable, as I get very hot in a hoodie. If it's cold outside, I just put on a sports jacket and if necessary, I can take it off. The hoodie I wear in everyday life, as it is very convenient in this case of use. I even have a small collection of hoodies, but they are all black. They differ only in print and size (there are oversize and regular ones). For training, I mostly use T-shirts that my girlfriend gave me. They are custom-printed, both cute and brutal. As far as I know, she ordered them online https://www.printful.com/ca/custom-clothing. Perhaps some of you will find this information useful :)
I wore a "hoodie" last night, but I also bought my first pair of shoes in the 1970s.
I always wear a hoodie when I run to 7-11 for my favorite snack, Arizona Ice Tea and a Skittles
I live in southwest pa, but always dress 10-15 degrees warmer than it actually is.
i won't put on a hoodie as a top layer until single-digit temps or lower.
I would rather run in a sweatshirt because I don't like the hood of the hoodie moving when I run. A sweatshirt is literally a hoodie with the hood taken off. But I don't run any more, and I don't own any sweatshirts. It was a nice thought though.
Don’t you watch movies? Everyone runs in hoodies.

If you run in a hoodie and gloves, how will a cop behind you know you are not black?
Here’s a safe hoodie for American suburbia:
This topic has changed a lot in the last three years when this blog was started. i NEVER wore hoodies other than obvious runner type jackets due to my upbringing of being afraid to represent my race. As I got older I became more confident and realized the world has a problem, not me, and started rocking hoodies as needed. I live in Suburbia and it's been getting cold, I wore a traditional hoodie for the first time running, at night, with running lamps, in an adjacent new construction neighborhood.
It was the first time running in this neighborhood where I got followed by a "concerned neighbor" driving a truck.
People don't get it unless they walk in our shoes. I'm older now and ready to "have a conversation" with anyone who has a problem with what I wear. But I never got followed at night wearing short shorts and a tank. or my costumes or my white girlfriend who may also run with me.
Do what you want with that story.
Run in whatever you have & feel comfortable in. Forget what anybody else might think.
The new polyester+spandex shirts are wind resistant. They can take you down to freezing at least.
I generally wear hoodies to hang around in. I'll wear it with my warmups or tights if I'm at a meet.
I have run in hoodies, and normally I'll just get the hood and shove it on my back inside the hoody itself so it's not flopping all around.
For the most part, I like tech fitted running 1/2 zips or what not.
just went for a run in a hoodie. it is something like 23 degrees outside.
hoodie, windbreaker, tights, adidas athletic pants.
I like the hood. In certain weather it keeps your pate warm until you're too hot, then you pull it off and don't have to worry about keeping track of it. Or, if it's really cold, it works well with an earband for double protection. Or . . .
Very ver-sa-tile.
