It’s The Guarfian, the urban left wing rag financed not by sakes and advertising but by trust fund babes.
There is a huge celebration of black athletes. And all athletes who do well are accused of drug taking. In fact, you can more likely argue that it’s swing so far the other way that when a white or Asian athlete does well, it’s assumed they are taking drugs.
And let’s not forget the horrible racist comments on here when Lynsey Sharp complained about 3 people with male secondary sexual characteristics in her Olympic 800m final - ‘white tears’. I’ve yet to hear anyone accusing you of having ‘black tears’.
Maybe we should all just stick to running and competing and leave the pointless internet posturing to those that aren’t any good at the first two...because your aim is clearly to create argument, goad people into making racist remarks and try to make yourself feel good by wallowing in how terrible it all is. Let’s move on and celebrate performances.

Wait a minute ... WHAT?!?!?
This is a running joke with my friends: imitating (subconsciously? unwittingly? purposefully?) TV announcers by referring to black athletes as "gifted", "a natural athlete", and "talented", while describing white athletes as "tough", "a student of the game", and, my personal favorite, "his dad was his high school coach".
I can remember during the broadcast of one of the last Mississippi State football games under Jackie Sherrill: at the tail end of an above-average career with MSU, program discipline was falling apart. Personal foul here, offsides there, unsportsmanlike conduct throughout. Just a horribly ugly game. The announcers blamed it on the large number of JuCo athletes playing for MSU at the time, the argument going something like "athletes recruited out of high school are more invested and will represent the school better, while JuCo guys, acceptable in small numbers, are essentially hired thugs who will tear down a program." Anyway, it became obvious partway through the broadcast that "JuCo" was a code word for "black". One of the most uncomfortable games I have ever watched, on a number of levels.
All that to say, the libs on here that bash me may be surprised to learn that I recognize and agree with most of what this article says.
If talent is natural, then how is it a myth? And how is it used "against" anyone?
What is the supposed point of the article?
First, lefties deny genetics and IQ. Than they deny gender. Now they are denying that genetics matter in sports. Not a conservative, but it's funny how the lefties made fun of conservatives as being anti-science.

Thanks for supporting me!
Also, pick up a dictionary please.
What is the deal with people always obsessing on skin color? Does it ever get old for these people? Is is a hobby?
It's a pretty good piece. But it does contain an absurdity or two, such as the following:
"It’s how Tim Tebow can be seen as reverent for kneeling on a football field, while Colin Kaepernick gets branded a traitor for doing the same."
Um. Tebow knelt because he's a fervent Christian. No political protest was intended, implied, or instantiated.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/2018/06/08/tim-tebow-kneeling-national-anthem/686533002/
Kaepernick knelt to protest police brutality against African Americans. He was bearing POLITICAL witness, not religious witness.
Two men kneeling on a football field--the sidelines, actually--but for entirely different reasons.
Genetics matter but epo supply matters more
disgracefull article the left always view things through the prism of race 'in 1950, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) issued a statement asserting that all humans belong to the same species and that “race” is not a biological reality but a myth.'

The deal is that there are so many people in the world who make all these prejudicial comments stereotyping people because of their skin color. And most of them don't even realize when they do it! It's not everyone, but there are still a ton of people hold these subconscious stereotypes that cause them to make overreaching assumptions and treat people differently based on how they look, and I don't know about you but I think that's messed up.
It's uncomfortable to talk about for sure, but it's important because if we don't then we're going to keep on having those subconscious prejudices without even realizing it.
“Natural talent myth”? I don’t understand why people insist on responding to idiocy with equal and opposite idiocy of their own. Yes, it’s ridiculous that a black QB gets credited with being an “athletic quarterback” while an otherwise identical white player gets praised for his intelligence and attention to detail, but calling natural talent a myth is equally moronic.
It’s like people think that if they encounter a flawed argument, they need to create an equally flawed argument of their own to somehow restore balance.
Genetics have nothing to do with athletics.
everything is racist.

Where does this come from? I'm liberal and believe every sport is 100% talent driven. To believe otherwise is an insult to anyone that trained or practiced hard, but never reached the top level. I trained as hard as I possibly could, but only managed a 14:50 5K.
Do you have a link to an article about liberals scoffing at talent?

Totally. The difference in distance running at the international level is doping not natural talent.
Thanks for pointing that out.

First, leftist does not equal liberals. In the classical sense I am liberal too.
Second, ever heard of how leftist reacted to Charles Murray and his book The Bell Curve?
