In 1979, Bill Rodgers set the track WR for 25K on the way to an AR at 30K. His times were 1:14:12 and 1:31:50 for a last 5K of 17:38.
Ouch! Rough finish.

Didn't Bolt run the first 60m of his 100m record in world record time?
Yes, he passed 60m in 6.32 (with 0.0 wind) in 2008, and 6.31 in 2009 (with +0.9 wind) - coleman's indoor record is 6.34
I think the 50k world records were set at Two Oceans (56k).
Sergei Bubka broke the high jump WR on his way to the pole vault record many times.
When Seb Coe set his 3rd world mile record of 3:47.33 in Brussels 1981, the French newspaper L’Equipe, took official 100m splits of the imperial distance. In a subsequent article in AW, it listed his splits and said that if they disregarded his slowest 100m split and adjusted for the extra 9m, that he actually ran a composite 1500m of 3:31.2 during the race, which was inside the then WR of 3:31.36 for the distance.

He did it infinitely many times. actually. What a performance!
Which 30 was the fastest though?
Probably the last one.
Quite a few guys took the 400m wr when they ran a record 440y - although it wasn't technically a split. Their 440 time was faster than the then 400 record.

Is it because they have more time to accelerate
No it's the lack of s start in that segment.
As in, any split section of a sprint race will begin with a flying start, and will not be offset by the time it takes to accelerate to full speed. Bolt/most 200 runners are near their top speed when they hit their in race 100m splits, be it from 50m to 150m or 100m to 200m. It is about the same thing for people running anchor leg in the 4x100. They've accelerated already by the time they begin the split, which is why Bolt can split 8.6 on the relay. Even a mediocre sprinter/jumper can regularly split sub-10 on a relay because the impact of the fly is so substantial.

The 100m WR is often broken by splits during 200m races.
You don't understand what a split is.

There's a good chance that Kipchoge also beat the 40km world record too!
Heck, I'd wager to even say he broke the 42km record!
I don't think he beat Gerry Lindgren's time
?
John Landy broke the 1500m world record while breaking Bannister's mile world record.
That's impressive. Think of what the time would be if a runner today beat 3.26 en route to a mile record.

Um, guy, that means exactly the same thing.

Nice!
Unfortunately records can not be set on the Boston Marathon Course
