The 100m WR is often broken by splits during 200m races.

There's a good chance that Kipchoge also beat the 40km world record too!

Heck, I'd wager to even say he broke the 42km record!
Joyciline Jepkosgei broke the 10k, 15k and 20k road world records when she broke the half marathon world record last year.
back in the day when races over imperial distances were more frequent , it was not exactly common but certainly not unheard of for athletes to break records over both metric and imperial distances in one race. for example, in Feb 1962 Peter Snell broke the WR for both 800m and 880 yds in one race, and in Dec 1963 Ron Clarke broke WR for both 6 miles and 10,000m in one race. Emil Zatopek did it on a number of occasions, including Oct 1955 when he broke WR for 15 miles and 25,000m in one race. in October 1964 Jim Alder broke WR for 30,000m, 20 miles and 2 hours in one race. there will be numerous other examples.
cheers.

No it's the lack of s start in that segment.
In 1979, Bill Rodgers set the track WR for 25K on the way to an AR at 30K. His times were 1:14:12 and 1:31:50 for a last 5K of 17:38.

He probably did it twice too. For the first 30 and last 30.
