Back when I ran in high school, I wore 11.5 or 12s in most running shoes.
Over time, my feet have crept into size 12.5.
Now I think my shoe size is a 13. I just had to send back a pair of 12.5s because they were too small.
What gives?

Yes, and you are about to get an incurable case of PF. Sorry.

Ummm... that doesn't sound good.
Care to explain?
It's just a theory. My feet got longer over the last few years of running and now I can't get rid of Plantar Fascia pain (PF). So, as it goes, perhaps, your feet got longer due to something like "fallen arches", however your plantar fascia did not get longer and will now be used passively to resist ground forces instead of your arch and associated muscles as your foot was designed to work. This Dysfunction will take a toll. Could be complete BS on the PF though. Might get your achilles. Good luck.
measure your feet with a brannock device. Shoe sizes are inconsistent model to model. I wore an 11 in the brooks t7 but a 10 in any mizunos. Did my feet suddenly shrink or grow? Nope! Companies suck at accurately displaying shoe size.
so where are the pics at?
Your feet have not grown; your arches have dropped.
So you don't have as high of an arch and your have to go up a size in shoes. No big deal.
Hey OP, you look sharp but have you thought about cutting your toenails?

That's fair, I haven't had my feet measured in probably 10+ years.
Pics of your feet? You are a lady, right?
If I'm a lady, I'm the type who wears a men's size 13 shoe. I doubt you're tall enough to ride this ride.
Your arches dropped. Not unusual among middle age men. Maybe women also, I don’t know. I know plenty of guys whose shoe size got a size bigger when they were in their 40s.
Same here. Feet were size 12 in high school and now are size 14! wtf? If only my dongle had done the same!
New Mizuno Wave Rider size EUR 46 have the insole 0,5cm (half size) shorter than the same model same size from 10 years ago.
So maybe it's not your feet after all.
Yeah, you just got older. It sucks.
I think Bill Rodgers was once asked about his shoe size, and he said something like 10 EEE and getting wider.
In college I used to wear a size 8 in soccer shoes (admittedly, kangaroo leather stretches, and these were supposed to fit snugly). Now I typically wear a 10.5 in most running shoes, and an 11 in some.
bigger feet = bigger ground contact area = lower forces applied on your legs = less injuries
My feet get smaller when jogging, not in length but in volume. There is almost as wide a blood path through the legs as through the aorta (>90%). The fast muscle movement makes the blood run fast through the veins, instead of pooling in varicose veins.
My feet got half size bigger in my 20's when I ran more miles. So yeah, your feet grew, or flattened out a bit.
