To set up your alibi just hop, skip, or jump over the border to Mexico.
If the testing is sensitive enough to find trace amounts in the low parts per billion, then there's no "alibi"; it sounds like this is far, far below the performance enhancing level.

Is it possible that the low amounts could be that it's just that level because of the drug being metabolized? That being said, if the test was done 2 days previous, would he have been caught with higher levels? Does it work that way? I have no experience with something like this, obviously.
It's not something a very lean male would take... especially in the early off-season.

ppb. That's the amount of meldonium they found in Russian athletes. Far, far below...riiight.
Maybe the Russians can use the excuse that its in the water.
So El Keniano comes on here and says that western athletes are testing positive but come out with some lame arse excuse and get off. He is absolutely right (on this one thing).
+1
We have a list, right?
Allowed are
- blood transfusions < 300 ml (to stay within the ABP thresholds)
- EPO only microdosing (unless the doorbell is quiet)
- testo (found in supplements)
- clen (found in beef)
- zeranol (found in beef)
- nandralon (found in toothpaste)
- salbutamol (needed for our asthma)
- cocaine (found in hookers)
- ... (aduck and pop-pop have longer lists)
I expect Coevett to be right on this matter!
Elite cyclists have been known to take it.
That sounds like it's from Forrest Gump
"When asked to recall what meals included meat while on his trip to Mexico, Claye says that he ate a breakfast burrito that included steak, eggs and potatoes, a steak dinner with a side of potatoes and then a hamburger from the Tijuana airport. "
never trust the burgers in the tijuana airport

1) Who the eff flies in and out of Tijuana?
2) who in their right mind eats a burger at the TJ airport?
Something is not right here.
So has it been kept a secret from all of these athletes that foreign beef might be tainted? Was Claye's near-carnivore diet instrumental in his success? Is Mexico loading their meat with 'roids out of spite for TrumP?
Soon many questions!
Seriously? Who is waiting at an airport and goes hungry because he thinks there might be trace amounts of a drug in the food?
So, an elite male athlete with a legitimate body fat percentage of 5-6%, is in the middle of his off-season, and takes a banned fat burner? I have no dog in this fight, and really I wouldn't care if he got caught and got suspended, but the facts of the substance and his timing don't add up to guilt. Let's call him Will Clavanaugh.
Clenbuterol can spike your metabolism and burn fat (arguably) better than any fat burner on the planet

I think the difference with the Russians is the large-scale systematic use. It was also the same compound which suggests it was coming from the same source and although some Russians had trace and amounts, there were some with higher amounts as well. The result of which was not deemed inadvertent.

I've been through USADA's out-of-competition testing education. They warn about the beef in Mexico and China. Will must not have paid any attention.

Was his a trace amount too? I can see why a thrower would take a fat burning steroid but this current situation doesnt make sense.

wait a minute... aren't there other elite athletes planting potatoes lately? Maybe it wasn't the meat at all.
