Again.. heartrate 120 at 8.30 pace for an 18.20 runner with 200 max heartrate is too low. Or you maximum heartrate is incorrect.

A fast decrease in resting heartrate is also a sign of parasympathetic overtraining.

Based on what?
Based on nothing.. but if she really has that heartrate she would be running way faster then 18.20. And it was all off a sudden that she noticed her low heartrate. Heartrate with improved fitness drops gradually not fast.
I’ve always had a low resting hr so this is nothing new. I’ve only recently noticed the low heart rate on runs but I haven’t been feeling any more tired than usual. I felt really good on today’s run. My heart rate was about 150 today at 6:30-6:40 pace so I’m not sure how normal that is but I felt good and not at all overtrained
How do you know your max hr is 200 ?
It’s the highest my watch has read on a few occasions
6.30 pace is like half marathon pace for a 18.20 runner and would get your heartrate at 85-90%. So between 170 and 180. So either your max heartrate is incorrect or your fitness has improved dramatically.

Or the other option this is just a troll thread.
It’s not... this is one thing I am honestly concerned about
Utter rubbish, loads of hoby joggers on RW have MHRs over 200.
This entire thread is a good example of how useless this site is, masses of contradictory and largely incorrect information by anonymous posters of whom we know nothing.
anon.

A runner with heartrate 150 at 6:30- 6:40 mile pace should be able to run the 5 k sub 15 min. You are not telling the truth, or you actually dont know how to train right.
My watch read 130 bpm but this is obviously wrong so I took it manually and got 155 bpm. Maybe I miscounted but I’m almost certain i didn’t. I’m concerned about how low it is and am wondering if I should see a doctor about this, but I’m not trolling
On the TMill at 1%, I will typically see hr's of 127 at 6:58 pace and 150s at 5:20-40 pace for 4-5 mile tempos, in my late 40s with a pr of low 16.
On the third Team Ingebrigtsen show of the 2nd season, Filip is doing an easy run on the TMill with his girlfriend, at resting heart rate and this is just before he wins bronze at the World Championships in the 1500m.
In general, I'd think that drops in hr at easy pace show improvements in shape as the season is progressing. They are going to be typically good unless extreme, and a sign that you can probably pick up your easy pace to 8 flat at least. Since you race at just under 6:00 for 5000m, even 8:00 pace should be very easy for you. Marathon pace would be 7 flat or better, add one minute and you have an easy pace that is not going to be taxing.

Your story gets more and more unbelievable. First you told your watch read 120 bpm at 8:40 mile pace and you checked manually and got same 120 bpm. Then you told the watch read 130 bpm at 6:30- 6: 40 mile pace and that obviously is wrong so you took it manually and got 155 bpm. Tell me , how is it possible to get 155 bpm taking the heartrate manually?

If this would be a true case the runner should not worry and just buy a new watch, lol .
My watch tends to get messed up in colder weather like today. I saw 133 and knew that had to be way too low, so I checked it as soon as I finished my run. You can check it manually by counting beats for 15 seconds and multiplying by 4
I have bad anxiety and honestly I’m just concerned about these values. I think there’s something wrong with my heart and I wanted to know if these values were normal, and clearly they’re not
Go 7:55 - 8:05. I know everyone on here preaches straight out of the bible to run your easy runs slow, but hot damn, not that easy or that slow. With your current BPM you might as be hiking or on a brisk walk. Pick it up a bit, will ya?

You cant find a number of beats in 15 sec that will equal 155 bpm ...... lol !
