I’m going into a HM cycle at the end of October mid-November after a month or so recovery from my autumnal marathon.
A few questions, how long would you recover/easy run before entering into a new cycle?
I’m intending to run my target HM in March 2019, which gives me about 18 weeks to prepare.
I’ve previously used Daniels for marathons, with some success. I’ve used Pfitz 5k/10k plans with some success. I’ve never followed a HM Plan as they’ve never been the key goal.
So, from your experience, which HM plans do you rate?
If not plan specific, what principles did you follow to make significant gains in your HM time?
Other info: average 45 MPW through the year, masters runner (48), no significant bias towards ST or FT. 1:21:xx PB.
