Workout video two weeks out to Berlin
Wow. Busy track!
2:45/km = barely faster than half marathon pace for him.
With 1:30-2:00 rest.
Congratulations.

thats cuz its a threshold workout. i used to do 15 x 1k at 3:00-10 with 90 sec rest all the time. or you could do 20 x 400 with 60 rest.
That's only 15km, a good easy session.
Simply a loosening up workout at marathon pace.
this is a session in the middle of heavy training....
one shouldn't compare the 2:45 to the race
I'm getting a headache from all these threads about Berlin. It is only a race. There are more important things happening when you consider the size of the universe. It is literally millions of times the diameter of the length of a marathon. Did you know that a section of rainforest the size of Kansas is burnt every year.

Yes, literally.
why are their footfalls so loud, damn thought mine were loud
What shoes does Kipchoge train in? Pegasus?
Loved watching that! .....Oh, it's a scene man.

Some US "elites" need to be watching this video whilst recovering from their monster tempos.
It's annoying but the "sense" behind that post and twenty others is that this character thinks it is fun to pretend to be a Bekele superfan and mental midget, so that the point here is faux jealousy that Bekele's best was blown out of the water by Kipchoge.
The last two are in 2:42 and 2:37. How incredible is it to have training groups that big and that good to run this at 8000 ft? The other thread about Zane Robertson has two additional significant groups good enough to train with sub 60 guys.
I guess that is where all those random 58/59 half marathoners are coming from.
The white guy is the only dude wearing spikes, while the rest are doing it in trainers... hmm...

That's the really impressive part of it.
I wish we'd run in similar ways in high school and beyond.
Excluding Kipchoge, would a random picked group of any 7 of these guys create an XC team that would score 15 points at NCAAs XC ?

They just ran 15x1km at 2:45 at 8000' on a dirt track. I'm going to go with a strong yes on that one. These are sub 61 half marathoners at worst, the NCAA doesn't have that.
