I am also on hormone therapy, and have been for over 11 years. The bad news is it sucks, the good news is I'm still alive. I never ran much until I was being treated, then started and have had pretty good success. I try to eat healthy and lift weights several times a week, but it is a struggle to keep the strength up. People that stay active during cancer treatment tend to live longer, so stay active and good luck.
Good luck to you, too. That's a long time to be on that therapy. Being active is key.
Last Saturday I walked (yes, sorry) 26.22 up a pass on my island, a nearly 6,000' steady climb. It went fine; I wasn't exhausted. Tired, of course. However, two years ago I'd have done the same course more than a minute per mile faster.
In a week I'll do 32 miles on the same course, and if that's OK, then two weeks after that I'll do 47.2 miles (76K), same course. It does flatten out after 27 miles, and the last 6 are downhill.
Had blood drawn today. I'll see the results tomorrow or the next day. Hoping for T up and PSA near zero.
