OP, if you are a junior, why do you care? A coach can see where you finish in the state meet in xc plus you have a full year of track times to produce in the spring.
As a former college coach, I was amazed how kids thought I really IDd their talent and had some special bond with them in HS. No, I just saw your performances and realized you were talented. Coaches don't care when those times come up. If they are hot on a guy based on his sophomore times, trust me, they will drop him if you surpass him as a junior.
College coaches would love to see you run cross country too as some programs need the numbers
and many distance coaches know that cross county helps the middle distance runner mentally and physically.
