I'll take a break for awhile. No big deal.

No actually my average is around 3:30. Just because you run fast does not make you an expert on running. You have the genetics that’s it.
I’m not sure if he’s injured enough to pull from Chicago. I hope not. Was looking forward to that race. Perhaps he’s not injured and is faking the whole thing. I doubt that. But who knows.
Now we can focus on the Berlin race.
Time to go. This hobby jogger is gotta work.
What a tragedy, might have cracked 5:12 if he went in a more sensible 3 minute split right? Overall 57 second sounds more impressive than whatever time he could run.
rupps tactics for chicago?
-run slower than al sal wanted on a ten miler
-make up achillies excuse
-drop out of half with flared up injury excuse
-go with leaders for 15k in chicago, then drop out saying his slight injury flared up and he took the wrong drink
i agree. in the US trials, in boston, in olympics, and in chicago rupp was very strong near the end . so was kirui in boston and only 2 other out of many in the olympics. i think his best chance is a race on about a 2:05 pace so he can do what he did in prague. he put ~1 minute on a 2:04:xx runner (dubai) in the last 2 km on about a 4:30 mile pace. that is moving. he may not have won all his marathons but i don't see a lot of other guys with him and one or two other runners in the last 5km. i think kirui is the main opponent and possibly farah but really not enough races to tell.
I'm predicting a three-way race between Geoffey Kirui, Rupp and Mo. The best case scenario for Rupp is if Kirui pushes a hard pace soon after the pacers drop. The worst case for Rupp will be if the pace lags and Mo is able to sit comfortably in the lead pack and kick. In this case there isn't much Rupp can do expect take the lead with a few miles to go and hope to break away.
