It’s not incredible for a junior. It’s simply incredible.
Low IQ soy post.
Are you saying we should ignore blatant age cheats when they run fast enough to compete with the seniors?
Weaksauce apologism.

Guess what fraud. I can follow Twitter too.
It's not stealing nor is it plagiarizing anything for he is siting his sources. If he didn't site his sources than it would be stealing.
Pick up a freaking book, dude. "Site"? Really?

Let's appreciate exceptional talent where there is one. Its true there is a doping problem in Kenya. That said, it affects either athletes suddenly coming from nowhere and of late athletes associated with some management groups. RHONEX is from neither of those. He is coached by the great Brother Colm O'connel who also coaches David Rudisha, Augustine Choge among others. His coaching is not just focused on running but character development to build an all round total man or woman, someone strong who cannot easily succumb to bad influence.
On his performance, I thought he would win and I had a time of 26:50 in mind. The huge negative split clearly indicates Kipruto could have run 26:40 or faster. Now that is super fast! The World Record (world best) for road 5 K is 12:59.8 by Sammy Kipketer twice ( 2000 and 2001). Kipruto going 13:10 second half shows he can beat Kipketer's world best. Carlsbad should invite him next year for the record attempt. We should remember RHONEX is not new to negative splits. He employed the same tactic to win the under 20 world championship 10K, breaking the championship record in the process.
Bro. Colm's athletes due to discipline rarely burn out. They last at least 10 or more years. Bro. Colm is also keen to guide his athletes follow traditional route of track, cross country then move to roads after your potential is fully exploited on the track. That is to say that RHONEX will concentrate on the track and cross country for at least the next four to six years. He will of course be doing one or two road races a year of up to half marathon.
That said, Kenenisa's 5K and 10K world records will fall by end of 2020. Barges, Kejelcha and Rhonex will chase those records. But RHONEX will break both records. 2019 and 2020 will bring back great memories of Gebrsillasie, Tergat, Daniel Komen, Bekele chasing the records.
I thought he would win and had a time of 26:46 in mind. I just didn't want to tell anyone but myself, like you. So then, my mind was more accurate than your mind as I nailed it.

Huge run for Kipruto, who according to Jeff Eggleston and Cuan Walker ran a big negative split of 13:36/13:10 (!!!).
He's now #2 on the all-time list for road 10k, behind only Leonard Komon's 26:44 WR. No one else has ever broken 27:00 on the roads. No one has run 26:46 on the track since Galen Rupp set the AR of 26:44 back at the 2014 Pre Classic.
Kipruto is a huge talent as he already ran 27:08 on the roads at Healthy Kidney in NYC back in April and won the World U20 10,000m title in July.

Yep. The powers that be have gone all in on paying off officials and covering things up after Kiprop's foul up. EPO full tilt now for the East Africans. It's going to be 1995 again.
I literally think they had a list of high profile runners and wanted to chose one of them to sacrifice as doping. Kiprop drawed the short straw. That way it would make it look like there clamping down on doping. It just gives all these new hyper dopers a chance to run fast new and they will appear clean. People won't suspect them as much because if Kiprop was catched and they are not then they must be "clean".
^ Give it up Banana Cake. Bekele's records are on borrowed time and that's making you feel a certain way.
As for Rhonex, he looked so relaxed in the face when he made his big move.

1995 again shoot me, once was enough. The only thing worse than 1995, was 1996: Two world 200m records, a 100m world record, a 7:20!!! and a lousey 1245 and a Moroccan running a 26:38 WR!!

^ Just to be clear, bad because none of those was run by white Anglo-Saxons.

Why do you have to bring in the race card? The same people you call racist for being skeptical are the same people of NOP and Galen Rupp of doping. Rupp is anglo-saxon. Also, the same people who call out the Russians and Chinese for doping. Or, go read some of the older threads about the Finnish runners and read the same people being skeptical. Or, read the Ingebrigtsen threads, people accusing them of doping. Same thing with Evan Jager, people here accuse him of doping. So clearly there is no biases here on letsrun since the same people you call racist are the same people that accuse some of the best "white"runners of doping.
Man, these boards are trash. I am going to continue coming here religiously, but I’m not proud of it.
I agree that the LRC staffers are obsessed with whiteness, I suspect most fast runners of PED use, and I assume that many Africans lie about their age. However, these things do not take away from my appreciation for the sport and for LRC’s coverage.
We can’t even have a thread about a 13:36-13:10 road 10k effort where more than 2 people in a row say, “Holy s*it, that’s awesome! What a performance.” ?? Seems like the obvious response to me.
"I agree that the LRC staffers are obsessed with whiteness"
^^^Yeah, the pot calling the kettle black. Thanks for being part of the trash, we're not proud of you either.
Are there any elite Kenyans not coached by these doping European interlopers?
Anyway, this is an obvious fraud. My only hope is that this dude will burn out and go the way of Kwemoi and Koech, He's probably 27 or so, so he's on borrowed time.

That's a lot of hate.
Kipchoge won junior xc, set a junior record at 5000m and won 5000m WC in 12:52 (over El G and Bekele!) at the age of 18. Also won kenyan trials for xc and track at the age of 17. He's turning 34 this year.
Geb was double junior world champion in 5000m and 10000m. Surely an age cheat right? He set the marathon WR and the first 2:03 at the age of 35.
Sure, age cheating does exist. If he runs a 28:46 you would still tear him up, saying that he's now 'off the juice' after his Central Park 10K. Whatever floats your boat i guess.
These doping accusations are starting to get boring. The guys and girls that are doping are the ones to be respected. The guys that are not doping should be ashamed of themselves, they just don't want it enough. Its all about fast times.
Until an athlete comes along with the mindset of Kenenisa and Haile there will be no world record. You must feel you are by far the superior athlete of your era and that the record should be yours. Right now I only see 2 males athlete with that mindset Rhonex and Edward Cheserek. They truly feel they are the best and that will fuel them to chase records over the next 10 years.
I saw that when I competed against Philemon Hanneck when he ran the 800m, Mile, 3000m, and 5000m at Juco nationals.
