Thanks for supporting me!
What has the Orangeman in the office ever sacrificed ? He claimed he gave millions to vets in the past. For someone who likes attention where were all the media when he gave money this year. ....... Hold on ..... I'm bring told he does not give to any charities .
Instead of burning your nikes could you just please give them to a homeless Vet.

Can someone explain to me what is so offensive about the ad?

I'm offended by how lame this add is.
There was a lot of cringe worthy cheesiness in that commercial. As if buying Nike products has anything to do with become a world class athlete, much less doing anything remarkable with your life.
Remember, NIKE is a fashion company, and they are trying to cash in on political fervor to sell their fashion brand. For the Left, politics IS fashion. They do not think seriously about issues. The Left's position on every issue can be boiled down to an instinctive fashion statement. So it is no wonder that a fashion company is also using Leftist political aspirations to sell their fascism, oops, I mean fashion.

"For the Left, politics IS fashion"
Absolutely fantastic.

Thanks DiscoGary for your standard response of broad generalizations and purporting to know how others think.
I never compared him to MLK, but nice try. Socks, t-shirt... neither were good moves on Kapernick's part, but when he chose to kneel, he was taking a big risk. It's obvious to anyone with half a brain.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe he turned down the Denver offer before he realized he was blackballed by the league. He likely thought he could find a better fit and a better chance to start again.
And, yes, I'm sure he realized at the time that he was going to become the focus of an ad campaign for Nike. Really???
Is it true that the ad has been pulled from tonight's game?

They deserve it for promoting that scumbag Kapernick.
I boycott Nike because of their support for known and suspected cheaters, both athletes and coaches.
I would almost buy their things again if they keep sponsoring athletes who bravely speaks\ in support of a democratic and equal USA.
definitely boycotting - different reason wrote:

Boycott NIke: they rent form Trump in NYC!
You're so bright.
So we all agree, under armour it is. American made company but have crappy shoes. We all make sacrifices .
Usually the right amount of money can turn any pseudo socialist into a capitalist.
I really don’t begrudge Kap any of the money he is getting given to him-get while the getting is good. But to support Castro’s ideas(socialism being the main one) while also getting paid tons of money by a capitalist giant like Nike is ironic and really not intellectually being honest. The only way he could maybe justify these two seemingly contradictory ideas to himself is if he donated the majority of his earnings to the poor. I’m still guessing he will be in the top one percent wealth wise in this country.
Kap could of also just worn a Castro shirt without doing any actual reading on him or in order to piss people off.
Have you ever read Kaepernick's responses to the pig socks and Malcolm X/Castro shirt? Do you think if you asked him if he is a fan of Castro, he would say "yes"?

First person to boycott Nike shoes?
Phil Knights late son Matthew, while still a boy, according to Knight in an interview and in Show Dog his autobiography.
Kid didn't like the old man.

I believe the obvious reply to this is... link?
I would think the answer is yes? If I wear something on my shirt I normally am a fan of it or at least don’t dislike it.
