Third place in a 10-miler to some C-list Kenyans?? Looks like Galen will get crushed by Mobot and Karoki in Chicago and won’t be a factor in Copenhagen.

46:23 -- pretty damned good.
Winning time 45:23 -- pretty sure that is not a C-list time.
I don’t think that was an all out effort. You know athletes don’t always go all out every race. 46:23 = about a 2:11 marathon. I doubt this race has any purpose other than a rust buster. You wouldn’t go all out on a 10 miler if you going to race the best for a 1/2 or full marathon.

What pace is that?

4:38 mile pace for Rupp
4:32 mile pace FTW
4;38?
4:38 2:05:30 ish if he was running marathon pace.
4:38 pace is not bad at all for someone pointing to an American record half in a few weeks. American record pace is 4:36, if I recall correctly. Rupp was just off Hall's pace earlier this year with a tail wind.

I think he meant C-list for Kenya.

45:23 ain't C-list by any measure.
Is it c-list times for dopers or non dopers?
It’s 10 miles! You can’t easily figure out the mile pace in your head?
Where are you from? Arkansas?

High school 800 metres specialists who race high school XC often want to get through high school XC season without embarrassing themselves. College 1500m specialists often want to get through college XC season and not embarrass themselves. Rupp, an Olympic 10000 metres medalist and Olympic Marathon medalist, I truly doubt would intentionally allow another runner to beat him in a ten mile race. Rupp's reputation is on the line every time he races 3000 metres to Marathon.
I'm not worried. The same kind of post always happens when Centro has a bad race and he always lives up to his expectations. This wasn't even a bad race at all especially compared to some of the races that Centro has bombed. Rupp is fine.
That’s true. Like he pointed out in his vid his legs are pretty beat up after all those miles he just put in. I think the 1/2 marathon will be better predictor of where he stands. So given the facts of it was a pretty warm race, legs a bit trashed He did pretty good. Would like to see the race. Anyone see the race?
Do folks do 10, 12, 14 mile tempos in their marathon build-ups? That's what this was. He'll probably average faster for 13.1 in two weeks and even if he doesn't he'll be fine. Chicago is the goal. He had two weak (time-wise) races before Chicago last year. Today was also warm and run in the afternoon.
How fast have you run 10 miles super star? C-list at 45:23? Do you realize how incredibly fit one needs to be in to run even 50:00? 55:00? Have any of you who are bashing Rupp's outstanding 46:23 bettered 50:00 let alone 46:30.

Not bashing Rupp, but I've bettered 50:00 and I would put be on the f-list.
It wasn't his goal race, and he's trying to get after it in two weeks. He's training through it.
I think if it was an a-list or b-list Kenyan, we would have at least seen a name. No name equals c-list.

Are you comparing the winning time for Elite runners to stupid hobby joggers on this message board?
Might as well tell us that a 45:23 is just so amazing compared to some jr high girls 1600 meter race you watched.
Get Decked.

Rupp definitely trained through this race. Probably ran 120 miles this week.
When he tapers it will be very different.
Sub 61 half pace for 10 miles isn't bad on tired legs
