anyone ever take a virtual tour of skid row on street view? it's pretty bleak, but what is most interesting to me is that the area of homeless encampments appears to have greatly expanded in the past decade.
google maps allows you to see all historical street view images at a given point, so you can see what certain blocks looked like in 2008 vs. 2018. The area of hardcore "tent cities" appears to have almost doubled in ten years, which is really shocking.
