Man, what a letdown.
Welp, doesn't look like Jager wanted it bad enough. oh well.
Thats ok because we saw that crazy mofo Kipruto win the race with ONE F*IN SHOE!!!

Jager looked horrible. Let Kipruto just blow by him with only one shoe. Glad to see the man with the biggest balls won that race.
Have to admit - I was jumping and cheering for Kipruto in that one! You have to admire the effort with one shoe. I have always admired his running, but am blown away by his grit!!
They have an underwater camera in the water pit?
CRACK'IN!!
Yeah that was pretty cool to see

Agreed! I was cheering for him to track down the leader the final 200m!

Kiptuto with one shoe for the win.
DAMNIT. Evan didn't have much in the tank for that last 150
The last 350.

LET?
Don't think there was much Evan could do about it. He took the lead when the jostling was going on but had nothing left for that last 150 or so.
Once Jager was out of it I would much rather see Kipruto win than El Bakkali especially with one shoe.

He LET him go by. If you watch the replay, you will see his facial expression and body just throw in the towel. There was no attempt to match the move when Kipruto started, and did, go by.

you'rea moran
Watching it (with no commercials!) here in Switzerland on TV and they showed a shot of Kipruto being practically carried off the track by two helpers. As stunning as that win was, that can't have done him much good. Hope he didn't do any permanent dammage.
They had rabbits. How did they manage to run the 2nd k in 2:55?! That's such a disappointment. I mean 3rd place and 8:13 doesn't even get you a set of steak knives. I agree with the time trial idea. Maybe they could even use one of those pace lights like they used to on the pro circuit in the 70s. If he doesn't get under 8:00 this season it may never happen.
Asher-Smith will be a real medal threat next year
I'd be really concerned about foot stress fracture(s).
Not a single woman under 11.
Welllll.....
Cutting off my live stream. Calling it a loss.
Gotta be the most disappointing meet of the season.
Why no green/black in this race? Wonder why.
Cheruyiot FTW in 3:30, Manangoi 3:31, Souleiman 3:31, Iguider 3:31.
Cheruyiot closes so well, no one can change gears with him right now.
