they are run within 101 minutes of each other. she would need to be close to her best to win either. naser is her biggest danger in the 400 run first, who she beat by 0.11 when they raced in monaco. in the 200, any one of four women could win it if they can get close to career best form. miller-uibo last weekend beat home asher-smith and schippers by .16 and .26.
Don't let that win fool you. Miller does not stand a chance against the top 5 when they are in shape, and they will be in shape for the championships as always.
ta lou
Schippers
Bowie
Thompson
Asher Smith.
Best she will be able to do is bronze, just like in the last championship.
??????????
Let me bring a few things to your attention.
Marie Jose Ta Lou could pull something outta nowhere but is clearly better at the 100. Has only managed 22.34 this season in the 200. Never broken 22 before.
Dafne Schippers has gotten slower every season since 2015 in both the 100 and 200.
Tori Bowie is MIA.
Elaine Thompson is not who she used to be, and has fallen off with the rest of the
Jamaicans. Has not managed faster than 22.30 this season.
Dina Asher Smith had a good performance at Euros but has yet to replicate it at a meet of consequence.
Meanwhile, Miller-Uibo has racked up a slew of DL wins, even though its her secondary event, and has 4 out of the fastest 8 times this year.
So, looking she's looking like a better bet to me than any of the five you've mentioned.
