I wonder what his defense will be. He admitted to kidnapping and killing her and then lead the police straight to her body, a body that they couldn't find after a month of searching. And then he plead not guilty and Iowa taxpayers are going to pay for his murder trial.
"The prominent republican family" that runs a business which hired the killer. Wow the left wing media is such a joke because if that family was democratic, they would NOT mention that fact. Turning this into a political baiting article shows how unprofessional and disgusting the media is, in fact. Someone was murdered, yet the media gets off on using it as click bait and politic baiting.

Well, it appears we have his "defense." He blacked out and doesn't remember anything.
Prosecution says they have him on video (a home surveillance camera) driving past her on her run and then circling back to get another look at her because he thought she was "hot" (accused word). He admitted to getting out of his car and running along side her and when she threatened to call the police, they started fighting. And then POOF, he "blacks out." The next thing he remembers is he is driving and somehow realizes that he has her dead body in his trunk(her blood is found there). So he drives to a cornfield and hides the body.
Prosecution is clearly desperate. They seem like they are trying to pin it on the boyfriend and his brother. They got the boyfriend to admit they were having relationship problems and that he had cheated on her. Also asked the BF and brother what guns they had in their homes. They are hunters so obviously they have guns. But she wasn't killed by a gun and the boyfriend was out of the state the night it happened.
I think it's a lock for a guilty conviction.
Car--Camera--Blood--Admittance--knowing where the body was--This case is as straightforward as they can get.
I wonder how the defense lawyers sleep at night, trying to pin the murder on her boyfriend just to get their client out of trouble. They KNOW he did it, regardless of his fake memory problems. It won't work and they can go to hell for trying.

Pure desperation. It should be a lock for a conviction. It almost looks like the defense lawyer knows there is a 0% chance he can win and so he is just trying to do such a terrible job that the defendant can appeal on the basis of not having competent lawyers. If it weren't such a gruesome case you would just have to laugh at the "Dog ate my homework" defense...you might be on to something with a ploy of some sort for a mistrial or appeal.

The only issue is a REPUBLICAN donor hired this perp and didn’t do a thorough background check.
