And 4 of the 6 received illegal assistance from a coach during the race. Water bottles and wet cloths.

Don't know where you are looking. I went to JBSports.com and found full results in about 30 minutes after the race.
JBSports is the business name of the race director. His results are well known to be posted very soon after each of his races.

Decent times for the top three of each. After that, not impressive.
Could it have something to do with the brutal heat & humidity? (See quotes from Hall and Korir)

Would Kieffer have won if she lost a couple of pounds?
Or maybe she would've DNF or DNS. As being someone who dealt with being OCD with food and under eating (borderline anorexia ). The one thing that sucks about being plagued with that is being constantly injured and not being able to train to your full potential. Look at Ritz, he maybe your ideal shape when it comes to distance runners, but he has been injury plagued throughout his whole career. Compare Ritz to someone like Kawuachi or Kamworor, who may be a bit "fatter" than Ritz, but at least they aren't constantly injury plagued and actually show up to races not injured and actually win. Which is what matters, it is winning, not being a certain weight.

Both are fine, just needs to be done in specific spots. Read the rules (241)

No outside aid allowed unless it is available to all competitors. They cheated.

Kieffer does NOT need to lose ANY weight!!!!
She is perfectly fine the way she is!
Just because she does not look fragile and anorexic....this is the problem!

Did you read the rules posted by the individual whom you responded to?
Were you at the technical meeting where JT talked about it?

I was not.
According to the rules posted above and the direct interpretation of long standing rules, there was a distinct rules violation by the WCAP athletes. It is cut and dried. In addition, it was specifically addressed at the tech meeting. It has never been ok for a coach to be on the course providing refreshment and ice towels to his or her runners. I've seen athletes deprived of placings/earnings, and in one case a denial of an OT qualifying time. Not sure where the rules are that WCAP follows.

If no protest is made, then what?
The referee was on the lead vehicle. Did he not see Lenny running with a towel between mile 5 and 6?

If it is within the aid station area, it is within the rules. Show me where it says otherwise.

I say if no protest, then nobody who saw this thought there was a violation. Especially if the referee as was on the lead vehicle.
Wrong. Everyone knew it was a violation but no one is willing to make waves.
1. No one wanted to be viewed as Alberto and cry about a violation.
2. No one wanted to be viewed as racist. This includes race officials.
Race officials knew but found it easier to look the other way.

Do you know these officials? You know their thoughts?

Actually the onus is on you. Please show us where it says the coach can provide assistance to athletes as long as he's somewhere near an aid station. Anyone who has been involved in road racing knows the rules. It is not opne to YOUR interpretation. As mentioned above it was specifically mentioned at the tech meeting. This coach and these athletes chose to ignore the rules. Race officials were made aware of the violation by concerned athletes. They did not choose to ignore it. Those affected including both athletes and coaches, chose not to pursue a protest. This doesn't mean what they did was ok. It also means steps need to be taken to insure that it doesn't happen again.
