Of course Korir, well, he's an obvious cheat for one. Worshipped only by SJW soyboys who been taught to bend over for any and all third worlders.
Are you Coevett or his boyfriend?

Americans haven't raced in a few weeks. The Europeans and Africans are hot off their championships the past two weeks.
Korir and Manangoi are dopers. Manangoi claims to be able to run under 46 for the 400. Not a chance. He couldn't break 47 if he trained exclusively for the event. Well, I take that back. He's doped, so maybe he could, if he concentrated on the 400 and stayed on EPO. It would give him .5.

Manangoi is listed by the IAAF as running 46.5

If you're going to dope for 400, at least get on a drug that helps 400 runners. EPO is for pure aerobic performance, and would barely make any difference to an athlete over one lap.
Also record attempt? What record?

Who said it was a world record attempt? Birmingham is a pretty strange location to try for 1:40

There was a link to an article about Korir before Birmingham which suggested that he was going to break the WR before the end of the season.

He's confident he can break the record. He never said he was going to try it in Birmingham.

Season is not over yet, nobody would make a serious attempt on a world record at Birmingham. It's an awful track

“I believe in myself and I know myself. I know I am capable of running faster and either this year or next year, I want to go for the record. I want to run below 1:40 and I know I can do it. It is not just a matter of speaking but taking that into action as well,” Korir told Capital Sport.
'The University of Texas in El Paso student has a Personal best time of one minute, 42.05 seconds run during the London leg of the IAAF Diamond League last month, but he believes since then, he has gathered enough experience to shave off the 2.05 seconds.'
'He will now switch his attention to the Birmingham leg of the IAAF Diamond League this weekend, then Brussels before switching attention to the Continental Cup in Ostrava, Czech Republich where he will wind up his season.'
So he had 3 more races lined up, and the Continental Cup is likely to be tactical and about the points/medals. That leaves Birmingham and Brussels for fast times (pb or WR).
“I want to finish my season well and probably lower my PB in the two Diamond League races. But the biggest target for me is the Continental Cup. I want to go there and win the gold medal. It will be very good for my confidence,” he added.

https://www.capitalfm.co.ke/sports/2018/08/15/korir-eyes-stab-at-rudishas-world-record/That clearly shows: that he believes he's faster now than when he ran 1:42.05 a few weeks ago; that he has 3 races left; that the last one is all about the win and the medal; and that he will try and run for times and beat his PR and/or WR in the 2 remaining Diamond League races - Birmingham and Brussels!
