Haven't read the thread but returned just to post this incase anyone needed nudging in the right direction as to what might have transpired.
Kenyan journalist Saddique Shaban, who's been right about everything, hints Kipyegon Bett may have an "attitude" and "lifestyle" problem that's led to this. This is actually the third test he's missed. Everyone, in the know, has some clue what's up. He also says there's still one more high profile violation pending. Hopefully we'll be able to breathe after that is made public. Read the Twitter thread below, I suspect some of you might have an idea. Includes a report where a lot of high profile Kenyan athletes give their opinions on the flurry of busts.
I suppose I should happy that cheaters are being weeded out, and that testing (in Kenya, at least) can no longer be called 'inferior'.

Apparently his friends and management begged him to comply but let's just say they're not that influential.

But in all seriousness, the IAAF and WADA are clearly finally cracking down on Kenyan doping. A couple of years ago EPO was being openly sold over the counter in every pharmacy in Eldoret and Iten. Now pharmacies are getting raided weekly for suspected selling of EPO.
RUBBISH!!!
Oh, 'ang on a sec, WTF. July 2018: "More than 800 people have been arrested and 994 illegal pharmaceutical outlets closed":
https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2018/07/02/over-900-illegal-pharmacies-closed-800-arrested_c1780734So your theory is that the governing bodies have conspired to elevate “specific sects of population” (i.e. those dirty cheatin’ Kenyans!!!) in track and field, by selectively permitting doping, as part of a “multiculture agenda” to manipulate public opinion of different countries.
Neat.
No, I’m saying it can’t be handled the same way as Russia. Russia’s federation was explicitly antagonistic. If Kenya’s ever acts so, they too should be banned as a country. Until then, Kenya’s athletes, coaches, and officials must be banned on a case-by-case basis, as is proper procedure.
he missed 2, and didnt want to comply on the 3rd.....why? well el k its pretty simple.....HE WAS GLOWING...taking it this way was way less damage control than making headlines of "ANOTHER KENYAN BUSTED FOR EPO".....do you agree?

That story makes things a little clearer.
He'd had two whereabouts violations so knew a third would screw him. Testers come around, he offers them 'tea money', they say 'no'. He's like 'how about two cups, everyone loves expensive tea?' Testers say 'We don't drink tea, expensive or otherwise'.
Then he does a runner.

Do you realize some of the athletes spoke about their doping? Does Stepanova, 1:56.99 woman, ring a bell?
Yes because that’s totally a worthwhile investment and good idea.
This is complete and utter propaganda. It was proven. Here's the report - show us where it was incorrect. Oh, you can't do that, can you? https://www.wada-ama.org/en/.../mclaren-independent-investigation-report-part-ihttps://www.theguardian.com/sport/2017/nov/10/wada-mclaren-russia-doping Plus, several athletes have confessed. You are a shill and a troll. Go away with your lies.

Russia is the king of doping to the extent that there has really not been a single Russian athlete at the elite level not doping, because it comes right down from the top, Vladimir Putin on down, and it has been blatant. Kenya has a serious doping problem and the corruption that is endemic in the state is a big part of it, but it is not state-sponsored in any organized form. Kenya Athletics has absolutely been on the take. I'd like to see some intrepid Oregon prosecutor go after Nike, despite the political fallout, and see to what extent they have enabled doping among major athletes, but we do know that they gave large sums to Kenya Athletics and looked the other way when it didn't go to the athletes. There is now widespread testing, I take it, and an IAAF that is no longer interested in extorting money out of athletes that test positive or in covering up doping that concerns, at the very least, Coe's potential rivals in other continents. Whereas, in his early days, we had the sense of one cover-up after another, with the frequent reports that many somewhere had tested positive, and then we'd never hear most of the names, now we are hearing a lot of major names in Kenya at least. It may be that some Kenyan athletes have not been doping carefully enough and so they are the ones who are nabbed, while the Westerners dope with sophisticated strategies and masking agents, and so are not nabbed. But it is time that we have at least some semblance of fair athletics competition. As for Langford, fine kick--why kick from the very back of the field on the last turn? He's got to get his strategy right when he's that fit.

I was hoping we'd play little 'you didn't hear it from me' type of game, but one's IQ has to be at least slightly above room temperature to grasp the clues. It would be wasted on you lot. Carry on speculating..

Honestly. Three strikes should dispel any naivety. He’s doped as hell or he doesn’t know how to handle this career. Either way he should go.
Does his management include his coach? The same coach of the 20 year old who 'passed away' after being suspended for doping and who was the head coach of the Commonwealths team?
The moron who said a few posts back that it was suspicious that Kenyans were suddenly getting busted had a point. It's not quite true, of course - there were 61 busts in 5 years before the recent rash of them. The trickle is becoming a flood because testing has been improved. It's still not anything like Western standards, as the Kiprop case showed. The fact that so many are now being caught when testing standards are maybe up from 2% Western standards to 20% does show that likely most Kenyan elite runners are doped as hell.
I wonder who the next 'high profile' runner the journalist is referring to? I guess Rudisha isn't even being tested anymore, so it couldn't be him. But if it is, or Korir, Kipchoge, or one of David Ouma's boys, then I would say athletics is pretty much finished in Kenya.
well since El K seems to be on the up and up about all the high profile runners and all that, my guess is HE KNOWS lolz
3 times test runaway = doping charge.
Wether he has actually been doped is anybody's guess. It doesn't matter as long as he is excluded from t&f.
Mindweak, you are really mentally sick.
What you ask is something ridiculous, comparing one manager with one coach.
Now, I want to clarify something to you, and you can quit to speak about money when you speak about me :
1) I NEVER had any money from the appearance fees of the athletes : this is something regarding the Agreement between athlete and manager. With Kenyans, the American system (where the athletes pay directly coaches and doctors and physios working with them) doesn't exist, and the Kenyan coaches receive a small salary from the managemets of the athletes (not only). I'm not in this situation.
2) Same thing about the winning prizes. or any other source of money for the athletes. I DON'T HAVE ANY ECONOMICAL DIFFERENCE IF THE ATHLETES I COACH ARE WR HOLDERS OR NORMAL ATHLETES, IF THEY WIN A MAJOR MARATHON OR SMALL COMPETITIONS, BECAUSE IN ALL THE CASES I DON'T EARN ANYTHING FROM THEIR PERFORMANCES.
And, also if for somebody like you this can seem unbelievable, I ALWAYS coached African athletes for free, running in the period 2005-2007 a training camp using my own money, paying a coach like Peter Mathu who became the head coach of Kenya in 2009, leaving the athletes free to chose the management they wanted to reach, because I was in the condition to help them, instead to USE them how you think in your continuous, idiotic and unfair questions.
About Rosa, who is not a coach but a manager, ask him the same question. I never worked with Rosa and his management, and don't know anything about his Agreement with the athletes managed by his Group.
The Rosa/Renato type doesn't exist, and is an invention of your sick mind.
Speak about what you know, instead coming here with stupid ideas fruit of an imagination that you can better use in other direction.
But you're happy to take (certainly not insignificant) amounts of money from the federations of countries like China and Qatar?
+1

So you don't think it's a red flag that a coach is happy to take a huge wage from countries he knows to be hugely corrupt and in a sporting sense, have no boundaries in terms of what they do in order for their athletes to succeed?
Kyle needs to upgraded to bronze. Anything less is a travesty.
