Jakob Ingebrigsten now has over 100,000 followers on Instagram. He appears to be adding about 10,000 a day now. Meanwhile, David Ouma's boys aren't faring so well. Tim still only has 2,000, the same number as George Manangoi, while Jakob's 'peer' Elijah Manangoi has 50. Galen Rupp has 20,000 or something after all these years.
Only pointing this out because it seems not many people here are aware of the impact on the sport that Jakob is going to have from this point on.
The name of the Head Coach at the Rongai Athletics Club is Bernard Ouma, by the way. Should the current crop of Kenyan juniors such as George Manangoi or Justus Soget fail, we already know there are several kids in schools all over the Rift Valley who have yet to break out on their own.

Jakob is on the way to having Usain Bolt style fame (he certainly will if he wins double gold at Tokyo as a 19 year old) and that would utterly transform the profile and popularity of middle and long distance running.
LOL!
1) Double gold in what? Doesn't have enough speed for the 800/1500, 1500/5k final is on the same day and he doesn't have 10k ability.
2) He could win every race for the rest of his life, run 3:20 in the 1500 and break 2 hours in the marathon and he still wouldn't be a quarter as popular as Bolt. 75% of my friends are runners and maybe 5% have spoken to me (known as the running nerd in my group) about Jakob. Distance runners aren't even THAT excited by distance runners - let alone everyone else.

Don't confuse Coevett with facts.

Amazing that you know this considering the schedule hasn't been released and they've never been on the same day in the past.

There's a reason only 5% have spoken to him, he knows sweet feck all:

No, it's just an objective fact that East African dominance has been bad for the sport, at least in times of popularity in the non-African world. I'm sure it would be more popular in Africa too if there was more rivals from other continents. People like Bayi were household names in the USA and Europe back in the day when athletics was 100 x as popular as now.
Nothing you say is an objective fact. You lie all the time. You insult people. You threaten people.
You have gone all mellow now because you are afraid the brojos will ban you.
But you can see in this thread alone what people think of you.
It was mindweak suggesting Canova be harmed. All you nutcases on both sides of this spat need to go away from this forum.

Hi ViveLaRepublica!
Well sorry to say I take screenshots now, including your infamous post on Konchellah.
I haven't gone mellow at all. Maybe more likely I'm happy at witnessing history and confirmation that an all-time great has arrived. I couldn't care less if the Brojos ban me, as I'm spending too much time here. I have never threatened one person here other than in reply to a threat against myself. I get far more abuse than I give back here. Yes it is an objective fact that East African dominance has damaged the popularity of middle and long distance running in the rest of the world, and no amount of screaming 'racist' from you or your other fake handles changes that.

I don't get it. Is Bolt popular? I don't know of any non-runner friends who have heard of him. Those that have heard don't care about him, with many not caring just because of obvious doping.

Everyone and their grandma has heard of Usain Bolt

He’ll never be anywhere close to as popular as Bolt. Bolt consecutively obliterated the WRs, had the greatest medal streak of any athlete in history, and had an entertaining persona.
Jakob will never break any WRs (you claim they’re super doped anyway, not sure why you would even consider them in the realm of possibility), will never have a streak equaling Bolt’s, and just isn’t anywhere near as entertaining or likeable.
Yeah, yeah, Jakob will burn out at 16, Jakob will be found out in championship races, Jakob hasn't got a kick, Jakob's problem is that he relies on his kick, blah blah blah blah.
El G's times were likely super doped and I'm free to hold the opinion that he wouldn't have broken 3:30 if he had been clean. Second rate talent super doped was too fast for second rate talent with throttled doping, but now we have a ultra first rate clean talent two decades later it's time for the dirty records to be scrubbed.

Has even Bolt's grandma heard of him?

You could say the exact same about Usain Bolt. Ultra talented and surpassed all the previous top times which belong to dopers. Scrubbed the formerly dirty record book clean.
What’s your opinion on that, though?
Hi ex runner! Are you trying to see if you can get the record for posting under different names?

Hi Shiitvett, do you think you can fool anyone here?
Ex poo Runner & vivarecraplica are some of the most vile racist posters on this site. No idea why they are still allowed to post.
Well, this is interesting. I must have said something at some point that really struck a nerve with Coevett, considering his ongoing paranoid accusations that I post under numerous anonymous and registered handles to attack him. Frankly, I would not waste the time to constantly post under different handles and many of these posters display atrocious grammar that I would never use.
I have no interest in responding to the various false claims by Coevett in this thread and elsewhere. No child deserves to be abused or molested and I would never wish that upon anyone. May we all find the peace and happiness that we seek.

This thread is interesting from a psychological point of view.
I truly don't believe that Coevett is posting under multiple handles, on this thread at least. I never accuse him of posting under multiple handles, despite my suspicions, because I'm not self rituous enough to believe that everyone must agree with me or else be a troll.
I think Coevett may have posted under 'exrunner' or variations of that, but that's fair enough as I have left my own satire comments under the name 'Coevet', i.e. pretending to be him, not supporting my own points.
I believe that Coevetts extreme paranoia has caused him to accuse absolutely everyone who disagrees with him of being me, which in turn has caused all those posters to accuse people that disagree with them of being him. Basically all a big waste of time with everyone pointing fingers.
I've not been involved here since I left my comment about Coevett measuring his self worth by the number of Instagram followers he has.
This thread is particularly full of shite so I've not bothered with it, and won't after this post. Good night.

Two things: a) if Jakob is remotely competitive at both, they will change the program, they are obliged to and would lose in the CAS if they don't.
If an investigative journalist decided to snoop around Bolt, his house of cards will collapse.
