This morning my legs were still sore from weights on Friday after my 20 mile Sunday long they aren't sore anymore.
Try it for once....you'll understand.

Do you actually run? Are you 12 years old? Do you have a girlfriend or boyfriend?
Lol @ the fact that the first reply to his thread is himself.
Do you prefer to call them easy runs? An easy day or recovery run is designed to be less strenuous than a workout and thus promote recovery without taking a day completely off from training. Sure better recovery might be achieved by complete rest, (though personally I feel worse from taking a compete day off after a hard effort) but overall fitness would suffer because a runner would be taking off multiple days per week.

That's not the idea.
How many times have you been injured over the last several years again?
Have definitely gotten rid of niggles by running more, and long runs, not running less. If anything I feel more achy and body gets tight by running less.
If you're actually sore then another run likely isn't the way to go. If you're just fatigued from a workout then a super-easy (recovery) run is not a bad idea.
Depends on the kind of soreness, but an easy shakeout run increases blood flow to help the healing and recovery. If you're a two-a-day runner and fatigued in terms of energy, that's usually a sign to do a single run, get more sleep, eat more to restore energy, or even take a day off.
Easy runs and recovery runs are 2 different things.

You should recover by having a few drinks then go for a nice drive

It actually does work. Try it for yourself. Don't go run 7mpm though. You need to be doing them very slow and easy. If you run too hard, yes it can wear you down. Do it at just the right effort and you'll reap the benefit. Ask Eliud Kipchoge, he jogs approximately 10k really easy every afternoon.
"does recovery runs to fast."
"then complains he is still sore."
you're an imbecile!!!
