Katie Rainsberger, Lilli Burdon Others Not On Oregon's 2018 Roster

Me I'll pull for both Rainsberger and Burdon except of course when Oregon is spanking Washington in both track and Cross. GO DUCKS Will be interesting if Oregon top 2 last year can hang with Oregon new top 3 this year in Cross who knows :)

Oregon's probable top 5 in XC is looking pretty international: Pyzik (Poland), Brauer (Sweden), Hull (Austrailia), ... and we know how upset that makes some LR posters. Is Kate Murphy (Virginia) staying? If so, I'd think she is a scorer or Oregon.

I really don't care if all the Duck Ladies come from the states or from outside. Did Pyzik take a scholarship away from some US runner who finished 20th at NXN? If so, they did the right thing giving it to Pyzik. She is already a top-5 NCAA XC runner. The girl from where-ever USA who finished 20th at NXN can get a scholarship elsewhere.

It's actually extremely disrespectful. When signing out of high school, you commit to the school and not the coach. Oregon gives you everything, you win 3 team national championships as a freshman and then quit and ask for a release when your coach leaves. Completely ditching your teammates too. The fans that cheered you on really loud at Eugene, etc...

If they stayed and stuck it out, led the team through the process of switching coaches and won a few more championships moving forward then they would go down as legends in Oregon history. Instead, in the face of a little bit of adversity they transfer the heck out and beg Oregon for a release. Oregon is even classy enough to grant the release.

The most BS thing is that they never even gave the new coach a chance. He's actually a better coach at their race distances than the Powells. As soon as they heard the Powells were leaving they were gone. Teammates, screw you we're out. Yes we're supposed to be team leaders now as upperclassmen but too bad we're gone. Figure this transition out on your own.

Oregon is going to dominate Washington for a long time, and the transfers deserve to lose miserably for jumping ship. Have fun watching your former teammates celebrate on the podium without you.

I totally disagree with pretty funny now both Rainsberger and Burden did what they thought was best for them oh well their loss, Me I will pull for both when Oregon isn't waxing Washington in Cross indoors and outdoors that is. So Oregon loses it's top 2 brings in 3 runners even better then them and now should challenge if not beat New Mexico at NCAA's. How Oregon managed to upgrade coaches and upgrade at least the Women's team in that short amount of time is well awesome GO DUCKS BABY
