Yes, people dissing Jakob's achievement are fools. 1500m running in Europe hasn't been stronger since the early 90s, or even the Coe, Ovett, Cram era if you discounted the 90s EPO Spaniards and French Moroccans.
Also, it's been overshadowed obviously by Jakob's feats, but Jake Wightman is now clearly the best middle-distance runner GB has produced since Peter Elliott.
