He acts a lot like this one in the video. Very friendly.
I'm thinking to put out a lawn chair and sunbathe in the back yard so he gets more used to me.

Well, I guess insects are in the animalia kingdom, but in the next level of the taxonomy they are classified in the arthropod phylum, which is different than mammals.
Wolves and Coyotes are in fact quite different from dogs.

Male coyotes will breed with farmers dogs & farmers around here will keep the pups at times. They grow up to be good pets. Google coydogs.

"Quite different?"
Explain then.
Just forget the Coyote, you’d be better off with a Cougar.

Behavior, genetics, place in the Canine family etc. If they weren't different they would just breed indiscriminately but that does not happen.. They are essentially racist unless forced to breed.
There are actual fertility issues past a few generations if dogs and coyotes are bred a certain way after a few generations.
Dogs likely originate from a wolf type which is now extinct so the common saying that Dogs are just Wolves referring to extant Wolves is not quite correct.
When one or the other enters the gene pool of the other virtually all of the traits vanish not to long after.
Bison and Cattle are much the same.
I'm planning to sunbathe this weekend and will let you all know how it goes.
Yes, they do. wrote:

That linked article says there are two kingdoms, so it is very, very outdated.
There are currently considered to be 5-6 kingdoms.

Ya'll gotta get around the West some. Wolfdogs, Coyodogs, Foxdogs, everything is out there. Might not work according to some of you brainy ones, but whatever.

Ummm . . . "not a mammal" and "not an animal" are two entirely different things.

Foxdogs, no. Yes to the others but that's one of those forced situations. Nobody said it wouldn't "work". That doesn't mean they are not different animals.
I was running in my neighborhood the other night, and I turned onto a street that run parallel to a highway (I-40 Bus.). Not a bad part of town, definitely not out in the country. It does have a large creek/forest area that separates the houses from the highway so you cannot see or hear cars. My guess is that this is a large hangout for the coyotes because as I round the corner, there is a snarling coyote in the middle of the road. I mean, this thing is looking like Cujo (but smaller). I knew I was going to have to get rabies shots the second I saw the thing. My stomach sank and I just stopped. It ran right at me and didn't look like it was going to stop, so I just yelled "NO!" and pointed at it. The thing was so skittish that it bolted left and ran under a car. I was totally amazed. I just turned around and ran away. I had all but given up.

Wile E. Coyote wasn't so smart.

Not all middle age women would appreciate a subservient role. I would suggest a kinder, gentler approach. Frequently telling her how young she looks has always worked well for me when wooing coyotes into my house.
