Turning my neighbour Coyote into house Pet

Coyotes are wild animals. You certainly should not let one in your house.

All dogs were wild a some point. I was once told the animal that causes the most human deaths is a frog?

Best bet is to lure a male and female into your yard and enclose them and have them mate or just find a baby and kidnap it and raise it like that.

Dogs have been domesticated for thousands of years.

Not so with coyotes.

You remind me of the stupid woman in that terrible movie Year of the Dog.

This is a really great idea. I recommend allowing him/her into your home in about two-three weeks.

Please set up a live cam so we can view what goes down.

Wait until he is eating, then sneak up on him and put a collar around his neck.

Then he will be domesticated and you will be able to let him inside

I would go with mosquitoes as the animal that causes that most deaths. But not sure if mosquitoes count as animals.

You have to tranquilize the coyote and put a muzzle on it and as it wakes up tame it.

Like you I seek to make Harmony with nature at all times. In back yard lives friendly large black Bear, who enjoys to eat Nuts and seeds, Garbage, and chipmunks and bumble bees and all other manner of small Creatures.

Please make update regarding your enterprise with Coyote pet, so I can mimic your Efforts with Mister bear.

If you do this, make sure you get its shots.

You'll need rabies, parvo and then finish with a .22.

There's a new movie out called Alpha about some native guy in the Arctic domestication a wolf. Go see, take notes.

Coyotes and wolves are just dogs. You ever notice how there are a few hundred dogs that look nothing like other dogs? Same deal here. Wolves are pretty much gigantic shepherds, and coyotes are identical to about a thousand dogs in my town. Bart Simpson's dog is basically a coyote, too.

That said, domesticating animals is tough. I tried a "feral" cat in the house once, which is a cat that's like the berzerk kid in the later Mad Max movies. It went about as well as you'd imagine, and it took off after a few weeks. More trouble that it was worth, given the number of DOMESTICATED dogs/cats in kennels.

and get him comfortable to sleep on the couch. Coyote spend about 5 hours a day just sleeping in back yard . Sometimes 3 are there , but the main one I already named , "Chipper".
