10 years ago (70kg, 180cm, 800m:1,55)...bench 50 kg, deadlift 60kg and squat 300kg(with weight bar)...one time per week in the gym...and i dont look so strong in legs...
So you could only deadlift around 130 lbs., but could squat around 660 lbs.? Does "squat" mean something different in Europe?
sure about that? wrote:

Thought of Mac Daddy's squat.

All the people here that claim they squat 300 pounds, is that a deep squat (ass to grass) or 90 degrease squat? Because I can squat almost double in a 90 degrease relative to deep squat
When the topic of weights comes up on this site, everyone can bench 100kg and squat 150+kg at a body weight of 60kg.
Just like when the topic of speed training comes up everyone can run 11 seconds flat but could only manage a 1:59 800m.
Haha, yeah, you guys get it. I was thinking the same thing. At least half of they guys' "squat" PR's on this site probably looked more like one of the "squats" in the Jordan Hasay Instagram video on page 4 (i.e. assisted with a stool or nowhere near 90-degree leg-bend, let alone butt below the knee).

Case in point. Thank you.
1:52, i dont lift weights although i might this off season leading into track . i once had trouble benching the bar and i had trouble squating like 100 lol
5'11
183 lbs
1:58 800m
305 bench max
425 deadlift max
I was distance guy primarily
in college. For example, I ran 29:05 for 10,000m but had solid 800m speed ran
1:52 open and split around 1:48-1:49 for 800m legs on relays teams. My bench
press in college was around 185 or so and weight wise I was 135. Post college
when I joined the military and tried some difficulty military training schools
I failed out once because of upper body strength. I wound up training
specifically on upper body and got my bench up to 225 comfortably. I eventually
got my bench up to 315 and only weighed 175. The issue is once you pack on the
muscle and develop traps pecks and other muscular features, they don’t just go
away so you can get back into running shape when you want. Training for the
schools destroyed my running ability I mean I can still run but only a 5k in 18ish.
I am 40 now and the muscular build has caused skeletal issues as well and for
example ripped my shoulder apart falling and needed surgery. It is also rough
on your insides. My advice stick with body weight and core workouts such as
push ups and sit ups much better for you.
I ran 2:00 off of foot speed (now easily in sub 2 shape) and think I could maybe bench press 110 or 120 lbs, if I was lucky. I weigh like 135
I'm happy one of the sub-2 ladies posted.
How fast is a guy with a 440lb deadlift?
I know of a sub 10 guy who only benches 60kg. The ALTIS guys have talked about one of their sub 10 guys whose full squat 1RM is his bodyweight.
You cannot draw direct comparisons based on event performance and ability to lift - way too many things play a part.
