Of course they are trolling these libs. Its easy, just tell them that gods(scientist) are wrong and they go batshit.

Why am I not surprised this thread turned into another flattardation freakshow? Not only do they somehow manage to be wrong at every conceivable level, they've turned into an attractor for all sorts of other conspiracy nonsense -- creationism, Holocaust denialism, moon landing denialism, and even made up some new ones -- claiming the world population is 10 times smaller than it really is, that airplanes, continents, etc. are much smaller than they really are, and other iterations of looney tunes nonsense to justify their own lunacy.
Here's something you'll never do, flattards. You always dink around the edges claiming some skyline over a lake can be seen slightly farther away than should be possible. Screw that. If the earth was flat, you should be able to go to New York (hell, I'll even let you go to the observation deck of the Empire State Building or World Trade Center), whip out a reasonably powerful telescope, and look across the ocean to Europe.
If the earth is flat, you better be able to see London or France. Otherwise, you're just standing in your underpants.
The reason you can't see London from New York is because the law of perspective. Stop straw maning flat earthers and do your research.
Here's what you people are doing by replying to this thread:
1. Flat Earth/Moon Hoax Troll trolls for people that will argue with him, thinking he is serious about his claims (he is good, and a lot of you are stupid, so you WILL go to great lengths to "prove" him wrong).
2. Flat Earth/Moon Hoax Troll delights in their efforts and discounts them with on-the-ready cut-and paste text, videos, diagrams, etc. refuting their claim. Both trolls works particularly well because there is lots of ready-made garbage material like this to aid in the troll.
3. This enrages/frustrates easily-trolled people (which is the goal of trolling). They argue with Flat Earth/Moon Hoax Troll. He insists he is "not a troll, you people are sheep who believe what the government tells you, and here's some proof Earth is flat/no one landed on the moon." Easily-trolled people scour the internet for counter-proof that the Earth is round/we never landed on the moon (both of which Flat Earth/Moon Hoax Troll knows, but that is beside the point). This is exactly what Flat Earth/Moon Hoax Troll wants you to do. He knows the Earth is round. He knows we went to the moon. You are being stupid.(repeat step 2).
4. Although some understand it as a troll, many do not and can't resist, as he seems to be good at the troll, coupled with the fact that many people are apparently stupid and don't see it as what it is: a never ending, never resolved argument that is the very essence of a troll.
5. Threads disappear for a few months. Flat Earth/Moon Hoax Troll resurrects them, often by pretending to be someone who wants to argue with Flat Earth/Moon Hoax Troll. (repeat step 1).
Addendum: Although I have pointed out what this thread is all about in plain English, Flat Earth/Moon Hoax Troll will still, incredibly, be able to bury the post and continue making stupid people engage in the never-ending arguments (see above posts).
So you don't understand what a straw man is or what the law of perspective is. Good to know.

Apparently y'all don't because if y'all did I wouldn't have to explain this to y'all.
In tribute to the stellar calibre of everyone posting on this wonderful thread - a real showcase of the talents on display here at Letsrun - here's footage of another trip taken to the moon:-

You don't explain anything - you just post Youtube clips because you can't articulate your own thoughts.
LOL, the law of flerspective, otherwise known as "flattard's answer to why you can't see anything you should obviously be able to see if the earth were flat". You forgot that you also claim you can bring things over the horizon back into view with binoculars or telescopes. Better try another excuse.
Bet you won't answer this either. On a clear day, what's the farthest distance you can see across the Atlantic from the observation deck of the Empire State Building? Can you see the Azores? Bermuda? How does it vary with the power of the telescope you use? Show your work. Since you think it's the limiting factor, you should probably use the law of perspective somewhere in here. Feel free to look it and anything else up.

I can too, ask me anything.

OK, every night I sit on my porch and watch the sun set. Every night the sun clearly intersects the horizon and then disappears from view. On every flat earth model I have seen, the sun is always above the earth, so there is no way the sun can intersect and then disappear below the horizon. So, question is, how does the flat earth model explain a sunset?
law of perspective does not explain it, because the sun clearly drops below the horizon.
The poster above has a good start with the questions you could address.

Actually the law of perspective does explain it. The further away something goes away from you it appears as if it is sinking. It is a optical illusion.

you can't even explain 'law of perspective' besides a crappy youtube link
might as well say.."you can't see Europe because of potato salad"
you don't even understand your own garbage
explain 'law of perspective' in your own words or just stfu
I agree with this guy.

There are simple experiments people have do on a smaller scale demonstrating the law of perspective on YouTube. But I guess you guys want to stay arrogant.

No, it doesn't explain the sunset. Perspective may explain why something would appear to sink, but the sun can't intersect the horizon if the sun is always above a flat earth.
Just because there are crazy theories doesn't mean there aren't real conspiracies.
Science isn't equipped to determine whether the moon landing was real or not. Occam's Razor is vulnerable to deliberate exploitation by liars who know simplicity sells an illusion.
The only way to really prove it to someone who wasn't actually there is to prove the government wasn't capable of faking it. That's nearly impossible in a world where so much of government is shrouded in secrecy.
The relics now visible that were left there are decent evidence, but a few decades late, as they could have been sent up there later by unmanned rockets.
The bigger question is why should anyone care if the US landed humans on the moon, when the Soviets already got there first with robots, and there was nothing there to justify going back? It was a cheap propaganda stunt one way or the other.

I did explain it, but I guess you can't read. So here's a video that explains the sunrise.
