I love the third week of the TDF.
Support guy who rages in the mountains is clearly a world-beater. Until Landa proves he's not.
Guy who dropped out early with injury would have killed everyone. Then you remember Porte will always crash out.
I want to think the near future has a great yellow jersey battle between Roglic and Bernal, and/or that Bernal will be the Columbian to finally win the tour. Then I remember it's always the next day, or the next year, or the guy who crashed out, or the guy who's three minutes down thanks to mechanicals and a foolish crash that will make the tour not totally sux.
Face it. The Vuelta is the only decent tour, because it's essentially today's crazy mountain stage every single day. Otherwise, stick with one-day classics, and cyclocross season. The TDF is a snoozer.
