Exactly it makes no sense for him to be not competing in order to dope. I'm not sure posters here know how drugs work.

This is a guy who knows what he's talking about. Gatlin came back after an 8 year ban and still won the World Champs, so how can anyone claim Big Makh is avoiding the testers? None of you know anything about top class athletics apart from Ex Runner.
Ha ? I think ex runner forgot that if you are not racing, you are not subject to IN COMPETITION TESTING hence the switch by many cheats to the marathon.
As I said, you have never been part of an out of competition testing programme. Dopers don't fear in competition testing. Only idiots turn up to competition glowing.
Out of competition is where most dopers are caught. Why would Makh need to be doping if he doesn't plan on competing for 2/3 years???
Use some logic

Makhloufi will be running in 2019 World Championships and the 2020 Olympics.
I wish you would focus on supporting and defending your ideas about doping and performance, and stop the personal identity speculation, because virtually everything regarding my personal details is wrong, not to mention irrelevant to all the running topics here, and largely of no interest to anyone here. Allow me to clear up some mis-statements. - I claim to be less than sub-elite NOT pro NOT from the UK. My best days/event was 800m/mile in high school decades ago, qualifying and competing once in a state meet and NOT winning. I possess calves that make Popeye proud and chicken leg bodybuilders jealous, which limit my endeavors at longer distances. - I never claimed to have any insider info, and I do not have access to any privileged inside information. My limited knowledge comes exclusively from sources made public -- sources available to you too, with a skilled and targeted use of Google, and the right motivation. - My arguments come from observations of real historical performance from different eras, rather than any advanced PhD knowledge of physiology. I also possess a less than basic education on exercise physiology, reading the odd paper here or there that gets posted here, and (possibly oversimplified) information from books like Jack Daniels, or from explanations of training methods. - You say I mock everyone here, but I use mockery very rarely, if at all. However, many of my arguments/observations are distorted and mocked. - I never claimed that doping doesn't work, but that historically, we did not observe large progress from the very best coming from most of the world over the entire period spanning decades since the invention of synthetic EPO. If EPO had an impact on the sport of running, it is strangely focused on the population of two small regions of the world. - I don't claim anyone is racist, but pointing a sweeping finger at innocent and guilty athletes alike based on nationality is stereotyping. - All of my information about Paula is, as indicated above, from public sources. Before 2014, before the IAAF failed attempts at bribery/extortion, my knowledge of Paula was next to nothing, beyond her being a 2x world record holder in the marathon by a big margin. You should accept all of these statements about my person as given, and then drop the subject completely, as it interests no one, and is itself a form of mockery designed to undermine my opinions by casting baseless doubts about my person and motives. Thank you for keeping your focus on your ideas about doping and performance.

exrunner, rekrunner.....whatever one of these guys is gary lough i know it...at least one of them admits to being sub elite pro and from the UK
both claim to know some super insider info on the "pro" scene, both mock everyone on here that they dont know sh*t about running etc, and claim to know PhD amounts of knowledge of the physiology of the human body and how blood and energy systems work....not to mention they claim that doping doesnt work, and anyone who says kenyans are taking EPO and PEDs are racist morons......finally they seem to know a lot and i man A LOT of insider info on paula ratcliff during the before and after years of her WR in the marathon....
dont get all defensive rek, i wasnt even talking about you
how could you get confused? im the ex running hobby jogger who works with youth runners, im a high school drop out and only ran 2 races in the 800 in 10th grade. i know all sorts of things about paula cause im level 12 stalker. i learned all my PED info from letsrun, which is amazing considering i cant read.
my three fav people are renato, rek and ex.....they are my idols
i wish i could be a troll but alas i suck at all things in life, i would love to live in the sh*tty weather of the UK but im stuck in my moms basement, and i spent my last bit of my $250,000 a year income on the nike 4%. i was really hoping to beat jamin at this years turky trot but im sure i will have an injury. i have been taking EPO for about 6 months straight but im really starting to think it is just sugar water, but maybe its just that im a worthless hobby jogger and super mindweak. you know its bad when you lie on your strava and its 15 min a mile!
if i wasnt sooooo much of a coward i would humbly ask you, ex, coach js or renato for some coaching, but that would require me to actually jog instead of lying about it.
well at least i can come on LR and interact with the smartest minds of the 21st century! whats the saying? where your dreams become reality? oh man every day i come to the forum is a wet dream!
What about just sticking to the topic?
I'd prefer to stay out of this thread, but here you are again making bizarre accusations about my nationality and allegations of many things I've claimed which I did not claim -- things you should already know because it's not the first time I've clarified this.
