I won't comment on the coach BS situation...
I'll post my first 2 weeks of my Pikachu Plan, including planned vs actual workouts
week 1 - planned
6x1mi (2min jogs) at half marathon pace (5:30-5:35)
12-13mi at 6:20-6:30 pace "medium"
actual
89 miles (all singles), 5500' and 10hr57min
first workout I wasn't properly warmed up so started a little slow but went from 5:40ish down to 5:30ish and averaged 5:34
second workout felt too easy so after the first 6 miles at 6:20 pace I picked it up a little and ran 6:10s the second half. 6:14 average, totally flat route.
week 2 - planned
16-20x 1min on, 1min off. 5:20 pace for on, 6:30 for off
8mi "medium" (6:20-6:30) then 2x2mi at half marathon pace, 1mi recovery 6:30 (in race shoes)
actual
100 miles (lots of double days), 2400' and 12hr9min
did 20 intervals but on mixed terrain, some trails and always hilly. paces all over the place but felt fine at correct effort
8mi medium was too easy again so ran about 6:11s. changed into 4%s and jogged a few minutes to get to a better road. 2mi (net 40' uphill) in 11:10, then a 6:30 mile, then 2mi (40' downhill) in 10:53. strava said GAPs were 5:31 and 5:28. felt VERY relaxed and wasn't straining at all. ended up with 18+ miles at 6:15 pace which is satisfying.
next week I'll back off the mileage a bit, probably to 85-90. hard workout will be wednesday or thursday morning, second workout will be sunday. going well so far, starting to think 72:00 is doable. also happy with how 6:10 pace is feeling, as I will be doing a road 50k in Feburary and might start out around that pace or a little slower.
