So sad... all I cared about is Jager finally getting his sub-8.

El Bakkali 7:58. Jager 8:00.xx.
Excruciating. It was right there for him with 400 to go.
What's wrong with Matt Hughes?
Why can he never perform in big races?
El Bakkali is back baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only 4 out of 14 ran a season best time. What happened?
Lysenko with a 2.40 PB to save this garbage high jump competition.
Jager doesn't do it, disappointing. He needs to race more often.
I'll pay to fly him back and set it up. Someone call Jerry for me. We can do it at Stanford or maybe upstate new york.
I mean El Baakali ran8:09 last week but since he races more often than once a year, he breaks 8:00.
Is the next steeple at the DL finale? Or is it also in Birmingham? I'm afraid they'll run for the money and not the time in The finale.

No one here cares about what you care about.
7:58.15. El Bakkali breaks 8. Jager fails again (he’s done). Kenyan dominance of steeple broken, time to roll out the next guy.

Did they add the extra 2 meters back to the track?
Rough for Jager, another 8:01 for him.
If the pacer even ran 5:17-5:18 for his split, I think he would have done it and not felt like he needed to push it himself.

Earlier races took all the spring out of the track.
Jager needs to cut off extra hair for better wind resistance. No Sub 8, Goes Home DEVASTATED...
M.A.G.A.
On the field event side (HJ), Lysenko (who was one of two guys to clear 2.30m) clears 2.40m to win the meet, setting a nice PR and a MR for him.
I wish I could run 8:01 for the steeplechase and still have people call it a disappointment!
Sensational meet from a Kenyan point of view. Beatrice becomes first Kenyan woman to hold a track world record and the Rongai boys go 1-2 in the 1500m.
This meet was sogood it crashed the homepage.

I agree, you can't just have one race a year where you expect everything to be perfect. Even pacing, great conditions, legs responsive...
Let's start a GoFundME for a LRC meet. Jager sub 8 attempt
Rojo, they were jinxed by the Monaco Preview, no american broke 9 or 8, at least one was an american record!
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
