Quality and more importantly profitability of shoes has absolutely nothing to do with sponsored athletes particularly when it comes to running. Not sure at this point people get how hopeless and irrelevant Syracuse was as a distance program before Fox. Imagine this....Rutgers wins Big 10 every year and an NCAA title. Not sure Syracuse was better than Rutgers. Either way. Nobody cares who Mike Trout is so who would care about running? Sponsorship and teams are charity. Good for companies for finding it in their marketing budgets. But if Reebok or whoever forms a group that puts to shame what Rupp and AlSal have done, nobody cares. In fact those aware of it woukd likely go the other way and be anti-whoever. Whatever. Great job by Chris Fox at Syracuse, wish him the best at next step. He will excel.
