As we have come to expect from Kenenisa, he is disgustingly epic here as well. I mean that as 100% compliment.
To the question about his 400m, 800m, and 1500m bests, his response was basically, "Yeah, in 5k training I've done 49, 1:48, and 3:32 in some workouts. I didn't train for them, it was just part of workouts. It's like, I guess, whatev, not that big of deal."
As a side point, note also that he said he does (or at least did at the time) doubles EVERY DAY, and 100+ miles per week. This should be the only endorsement of doubles and 100mpw that anyone ever needs. Nail the coffin shut on that discussion, as the expression goes, because if Kenenisa did it, you'd better be doing it too.
does anyone actually think he ran a 3:49 mile equivalent in training?!
At this point in track and field history, I don't even care if he was doped or not when he did this, but he sure pushed hard for a long time with no one near him. Physically, that's absolutely amazing. 4:03 pace. 30.x second 200m splits the entire way. good lord
What about for the half marathon, what do people think Bekele’s potential was in that if he’d focused on it when he was at his prime?

58 minutes flat in his 10k prime.
Hmmmmm, hi guys. I am new to writing on this platform, although I have always been an avid reader. If I knew how to edit my post I would.
Unfortunately I don’t so get over the incorrect grammar and get into the subject matter. This post is from a mobile device not a PC so it may not have the same access to function on this software as a PC may have. Aka (editing posts)
All in all I realise that it is untapped and not untaped and also that it is “Could bekele of”...
Instead of “Could of bekele”.....
Oh and btw leave Banana Bread alone as he/she should have the freedom of enjoying this site in a friendly environment. Without idiots.
Anyway do you guys think that Hicham El Guerrouj really had a chance at breaking the 5000m world record? Refer to “5000m World record attempt?”
https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.iaaf.org/news/amp/news/el-guerroujs-patience-pays-off
Or was he kidding himself?

With all the Actovegin he was on, no doubt he could've done that.
It really make me disgusted how everyone says:
Age cheat
EPO user
Drug cheat
Such and such was on (PED)
Fu ****g shut it
I am really fried with all this cheating S**t
If they didn’t get caught by WADA then you have no F***ing right to accuse them.
Grow a set and try and run that fast yourself.
Omg why don’t you try all the PED’s you can think of then run those times!
Sorry guys but you have got to relise this.
It’s ruined the sport for me already.
I feel it’s all because western runners rarely win against their East African counterparts. Who cares it’s called Genetics.
Thousands of years of........

Wow calm done son, take a deep breath and realize they are telling you the cold hard truth.
He said in that video he runs OVER 100 miles a week running 12-15 miles but then claims he runs twice a day so add on at least 5 miles for the double we are talking upwards of 130-180 miles a week.
Lol I am just getting my point across.
You chill buddy boy. :D
What’s with all this banana bread stuff.
Has the guy made a name for himself on here or something.
After 200km a week your body starts to break down. Kipchoge ran 200km a week max when preparing for his Nike sub 2. That’s Marathon training. 100miles is about 160.9km or something right? He wouldn’t need anymore then that (160km) for 5-10km running. ;-)
The truth haha mate you can’t handle the truth.
The East Africans are just more genetically gifted more then you!
Keep telling yourself it’s because they are on PED’s ;-)

I agree with this guy!

Haile ran 140 for 5-10K and so did Paula Radcliffe even before she moved up to the marathon and many others. Mo Farah 120 miles a week for 5-10K on the track. Mileage is not just for marathon training it's to build aerobic conditioning and your workouts determine what specific distance you want to train for. 180 miles a week for 13:00 will do the trick.
Taped vs Tapped
Of vs Have
Then vs Than
It’s hard to get to the “content “.

Haha I’m not sure about that. Not just anyone can run sub 13 for 5000m by just running the miles you need insane talent. Less then 100 individuals have been able to complete this feat!
BTW everyone has a mileage limit,( where they start to get injured and are not benefiting from the km’s) that’s AROUND 200km a week for most individuals. The East Africans are full of talent and have many more runners with that high volume potential.
I’m sorry English teacher ??.
I beg for your forgiveness, please B- at least.
Hahaha
Your a nut sometimes mate! Stop ? fixing grammar and punctuation!
Very rare that you’ll find perfect English of sites like this. Anyhow why does it need to be perfect for a running site? Please answer.....
