Ridiculous race for McSweyn. I hope he continues to progress unlike what seems to happen to a lot of Aussies.

Of course, 3000 is Kejelcha's wheelhouse as he's the 2-time world indoor champ. Let's see him at 5k.

He misjudged his last lap. I had him in 13.1 from 300 to 200 to go and then in 27.6 in his final 200.
I'm not so sure he did... maybe not the most efficient way to have run it. But I am sure after last week, he did NOT want any traffic in the last 150. Going hard early ensured that, and he had enough to keep that gap through the line

Wow Kejelcha seems to be benefiting from Salazar's "training methods."
Terrible stretch tactics by Chelimo, as always. STAY IN YOUR LANE
No, you move just like he did & try to protect your position. Perfect tactics, just not enough strength to hold on and shame on him for lack of effort those last 30 meters
Err no. As his Greatness Lord Coe once said, "that's not tactics, its the negation of tactics"

Maybe the Americans should be coached my the Ingebrigtsen dad since they keep losing ;-)
Lol, one dad in Norway produces a better group than the entire USA.
Call me when any of them win Olympic Gold. CENTROOOOO baby
Top white guy honors and breakthrough performance of the race goes to Australia's Stewart McSweyn.
The 23-year old dude ran the 10k at CWGs.
For him to get 3rd in this race was insane.
This year he's PRd at 1500 (from 341.31 to 3:34.82), 3000 (from 7:47.65 to 7:34.79), 5000 (from 13:19.98 to 13:19.96) and 10k (from 28:29.65 to 28:05.37
So a Morrocan won the 1500 and one pulled up in the 3000 holding his liver in pain. Has there ever been a history of EPO usage in morroco before, because it seems suspicious to me.
Agreed.
ugh cheating Dibaba in this 5000. Not gonna watch, gonna do some squats for 15 minutes.
W5000 looking for pacesetters to run 69 second laps

The new Buster! I miss Buster.

Coleman is going to pull up lame with an injury in his race today.
career over.
The head to head betting with him versus Rodgers has him at -400 and rodgers at +255. Smart money is definitely on Rodgers with those odds.

hahaha
LetsRun - please specify when the meet is on NBCsports as opposed to Olympic Channel. I have the former and not the latter- I was so crestfallen when I raced (pun intended) home, logged in and found that it was not on NBCS as listed here. Been looking forward to this all week.
She got dropped and is off the juice if that helps any.
How is Molly doing? I wish I had access to watch it live :(
The women's 5000 is really advancing. 5 women together at the bell at 13:19.
If Shelby Houlihan wants to be a 5000 runner that is what she has to be able to do. Come through in 13:19 and run 14:21. There is NOTHING that has made me think she can do that. Get under 14:40 1st.
Great run Obiri

I apologize. Jonathan Gault has been fired. That would annoy the hell out of me if I were you.
Do you want a login for my olympic channel? I'm serious. Download the xfinity stream app and I"ll give you my login.

robertjohnson@letsrun.comThey were REALLY hyping up Hassan that whole race despite the defending world champion being in it.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a women's 5000 that that was that fast with that many people in it at the bell. It reminded me of a men's race.
