Just b/c she has memories of fighting at Stalingrad shouldn't disqualify her from this race.

Really?
These people all look like they could be 18 or 20 or 25. (Yes, the white guy as well.)

I'm not even joking when I say Jakob is the one that looks mid-twenties out of the three in that picture. My niece says he looks "old". George and Soget look like your typical Kenyan high schoolers.
Jakob looks like a typical white kid. He can surely produce a legit birth certificate at will.
Look at Manangoi's hairline lol.
Look, I know you wanna root for the Kenyans. But get real. Your country has a long and storied history of age and drug cheating. No out-of-competition testing. Big names like Kiprop recently busted. Many of your best "juniors" of yesteryear are now nowhere to be found at age "23." Don't even get me started on the fact that these "young lads" have connections to Rosa. Nothing here passes the sniff test.

How old are they supposed to be? They all could be 18, but they all look like they're in their twenties.

I remember thinking Lebron James looked 30 when he was drafted....
Why white westerns are so obsessed with the East Africans’ age??
Who cares about those junior races and under 20’s???
Nobody watches that anyway!
Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Which would make him 48 today... Pretty good stats for a guy pushing 50, damn age cheat.

I know. Your point is well taken. I think he looks young, too.
Honestly why aren't Kenya and Ethiopia banned from world juniors? They definitely should be due to rampant age cheating and doping. IAAF needs to stand up and send a message. They have ruined a potentially amazing track meet.
Uhhhhh, is everybody cool with the Brazilian quarter hurdler?

It's not just Ethiopia and not just in the women's events. Does George Managoi really look 18? Looks about 25.
Who looks older in this picture?
https://bringbackthemile.com/images/ugc/uploads/about/Alan_Webb_with_Hicham_El_Guerrouj_2001.jpgThere is an 8 year difference.
Manangoi looks younger than Webb.

Jealous LetsRunners are funny.
About an African runner at 16: "Waaaaaaaaaaah! That runner can't possibly be only 16!
The are understating their age! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
About the same African runner at 40: "Waaaaaaaaaaah! That runner can't possibly be over 40! The are overstating their age! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

Did you read about history of birth certificates in some African villages? Or Yinka Dare's case. (He was playing with the Nets during the 90's)

Which African runner was that? Lagat?
The Brazilian quarter hurdler receding hairline!! I?He looks like Miruts yifter in Moscow 1980.
The interesting thing about this thread is that people like Manangoi were born by a time when virtually all births in Kenya where automatically issued a certificate of birth. He's also attended kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, taken national exams and had classmates that make it easy to verify his age. Yet the PTB here allow an article to be published that asterisks his and his brother's ages.
Some people lose their hair very young. It is just varying genetics. I've noticed that a lot of very successful young athletes are early to go through puberty, giving them an advantage over their peers, which equalizes out later.
