They should have included the old stands or at least the old shape in the new design. Simple enough to do it.

So what you're saying is they still don't have a clue what the finished stadium will look like? Got it.
Not having more covered seating is incredibly stupid.

They should have built a dome over the whole thing. I think you just need a 10 meter opening in the center.

+1-especially considering the money that they are pouring into this....
I still fail to figure out the math with respect to the latest pics.
If the pic is the "normal" stadium configuration that will seat 12,500 then maybe it will be OK regular (non world champ) meets. However, if this is the case and given the pictures where do you put the other 17,500 people? The pics have 80% with what appears to be permanent seating (the exception being the north end). This would leave the north end available for temporary seats to be added but how can you fit 17,500 seats in that area, particularly when it looks like they have some permanent seats close to the track.
I don't know who it is or why but no one wants to provide the math and layout for how this all will look with 12,500 seats and 30,000 seats. Why not? The ship has sailed in terms of demolition and the concept/general design of the new track.

That roof barely covers any seats. Did Nike cut a deal with God for no rain on meet days?
Must have also cut a deal for no sun either, since the roof is transparent.
Correction: ETFE

While the local government of Eugene has been extremely inviting to the trash you speak of, I have not witnessed any of the activities you mentioned around the stadium in the past. They all seem to coagulate around the river and surrounding recreational trails and wooded areas. Go get them please.
Some of the Nike money should go to a Beautify Eugene campaign. Priorities should include the following:
1: Ship all the local riff-raff out of the city.
2: Institute mandatory baths and hygiene inspections of locals and students.
3: Outlaw tattoos and public swearing.
4: Ban all hemp products.
5: Abolish all local government and appoint private ( Austrian) company to manage city services.
6: Life size statues of King Ches, Pre, and Jenna Prandini should be on every street corner.
7: Allow Trump corporation to build a new hotel in downtown.

Any hippies taken into custody, for any reason, should be provided a haircut and should be given a "power shower".
