I just read Jonathan Gault's world junior preview and absolutely loved it. Man, I learned so much.
PS. Someone remind me of this thread if down the road I propose firing all the staff and pocketing all of the money for myself.
Here is a schedule:

Here is a schedule:
U20 Worlds is underway, first heats for the 1500 are done with Jakob Ingebritsen just edging out George Manangoi for the win in a slow race (3:51). 1500 finals are on thursday with some good competition. Who do you have for the win?
Tefera for the gold medal and Jakob with a respectable mention for his 4th place and best runner under 20.
Naguse seems to peaked during indoor. He had a solid outdoor but sort of started dropping off over the past 8 weeks. Maybe the season was too long for a freshman.
The WL time might fall today. Rhonex Kipruto definitely has what it takes to beat it. However he lacks competition in the U20 world champs.
I'm starting a new training group in Iten and asked him to join, although it's not yet confirmed i got some insight in his training. The guy is a beast, i think he could run 26:50 in the right race.

Umm, ever heard of Jacob Kiplimo?

If he comes home 4th behind 3 Africans, if I was Jakob I would stretch my arms out to celebrate as though I'd won.
Jacob should have skipped this meet. He'll get beat by 25-year-old doping Kenyans.

Is this Bro Colm?
I know this is a distance focused site, but I was shocked he didn't mention Tara Davis anywhere in his preview.
Who is Jonathan Gault?

I'm curious as to why you think he should have mentioned her. She was the 5th placer at NCAAs. I know she's the LJ favorite but if he mentions her then shouldn't he mention the Twanisha Terre (10.99) the 100 favorite who was 3rd at NCAAs?
The 1500 heats went pretty much according to form. It's going to be a great final.
American Cooper Teare also made the final while Notre Dame's Yared Nuguse did not.

Looking at the splits, Elzan Bibic of Serbia was very impressive in 2nd in heat #2. To close in 54.67 in a PR of 3:44.68 is very impressive. He has a 13:44 5k pb.
Also we found an article where it says that George Manangoi, who finished 2nd to Ingebrigtsen in heat #1, is recovering from malaria. See below.
Despite what a representative at NBC told us, it appears that the meet isn't being broadcast live on NBC gold. Thus the only way to stream it live in the US is to change your IP address.
But we do have good news. It's on live right now on tv on the Olympic channel in the US.
Is there anyone on here not from the US. Are you getting a live stream? I thought I changed my IP address but I don't see any live stream on the IAAF's Facebook or Youtube pages like they claimed would be happening.
Here is what they sent out earlier this week, "Live stream: Action from the Tampere Stadium will also be available to watch across all the IAAF’s continental areas via a geo-blocked live stream on the IAAF's Facebook page or YouTube channel. "
Does anyone even see a stream at this link?
What on earth happened to Symone Mason? All that way for a 55?
Was she ill?

Jacob is a huge talent. However i really doubt his stated age too. His manager is Federico Rosa, and you're talking about doping Kenyans.
Kenyan girl took a fall and worked very hard to catch the pack. Curtains for her.
