Scotland seems to be a factory for 1500m runners these days. What gives is it the coaching or something else and no I’m not talking pharmaceuticals!

It does, but I'm not sure what the reason for it is. Scotland has always punched above its weight in middle and long distance running in GB. Graham Williamson seemed to be an equal talent to Cram (and same age) but Cram was controversially picked ahead of him for Moscow and after that Williamson had a lot of bad luck and didn't progress much.
Scotland doesn't seem to ever produce world class footballers like they used to (Daglish, Souness, Alan Hansen etc). I think Scotland used to be officially the most soccer mad nation on Earth, but I don't think its true anymore. Maybe that has something to do with it?
And of course Wales has Jack Heyward, who just finished second behind Jakob at the World Juniors. Here is Cram talking about his talent :

Thanks for the link. Whenever I've heard Cram talk he comes across well and fairly level headed and balanced. What I find really interesting and particularly about the 1500m in the UK is that Farah aside, no one has come near the low 3:30s in 20 odd years yet to an outsider the depth seems as good as its been in the last 30 years.
Excluding the Africans, a number of other countries which would appear to have similar demographics are getting runners down to the low 3:30s (US, Norway, New Zealand, Australia).
Maybe it will come over the next few years. -

Evidence here that you know nothing about anything that goes on outside Europe. -
Very good running by the young lad.
3:55 is good but his pb of 3:46 is most impressive.
Any information on work he is doing.
My thoughts on his training would be the following:
60-80k per week
Short hills, long efforts at aerobic capacity, specific track sessions, tempo's, Long run 16-18k
